As a renter in one of Sauer Properties apartments after two years, I can proudly say that I am satisfied with all management services they provided. They are quick in maintenance and problem solving.
I read the other two reviews and interestingly enough, I disagree. I'm moving toward my 2nd year here and never came across 1 bug. My building is rather small but no one is extremely loud at all. The other tenants keep to themselves as do I. Small hellos or goodbyes at most. Any request I've ever had was recognized and quickly reconcile. The neighborhood is decent. Not super beautiful but definitely no riff raff. I don't know, maybe I came across they're only good one. The staff in the office whom I visit a few times a year are pretty cool people. Much respect to them. How blessed I am to have come across them all.
Do you enjoy quite space? Do you enjoy respectful neighbors? Do you enjoy place to call your own? Do you enjoy management who cares? If you said yes to any of these things, then I would AVOID this place like the plague. The day we moved in a family was moving out and they said to us "good luck with this place, get out as fast as you can". I didn't fully believe them, but now I do. They get you in with the "cheaper" rent. The manager pitched this building as "beautiful, quite, and well maintained". None of these things are true. This building is TWO BLOCKS FROM A MAJOR FIRE STATION. You will hear fire trucks every 20-30 minutes all day and during the night. The single pain, original windows from the 1980's does nothing to shield the noise. You will also hear (and feel) the planes landing at Burbank Airport as the building is DIRECTLY IN THE FLIGHT PATH. This building was built in the early 80's and very little has changed at all. They have put new paint and counters in each apartment and called it "beautifully renovated". This place has MANY issues with neighbors. We saw repo-guys break into the garage to reposes someones car, the smell of weed, drugs, and cigarettes haunted the hall ways and stairwells. The sound of SCREAMING CHILDREN running up and down the halls happened regularly. Does management do anything about these issues? No. Not at all. In fact, if you try to talk to management about issues you are you having you then BECOME THE PROBLEM. We had a issue with neighbors who moved in with a screaming toddler and they let their kid so whatever it wanted. So all day and into the night we heard running, stomping, slamming, dropping, and I am not just talking about a few times a day, I am talking about a large portion of the day. The kid was so loud that the WINDOWS SHOOK. The manager did not believe us, and even after she finally got to see it for herself her response was "that is normal noise". They also started building a condo building next to ours. No we have a neighbors window less than 10 feet from our apartment. They worked on it for a year and a half. They did everything that goes along with construction. Including tearing up the street in front of the building for WEEKS. Managment took this as a reason to raise the rent. They are already making us pay for all utilities (along with being feed for being billed for the utilities)The houses behind the apartment building has trash parties that go until 2-3am. Their yards are covered in trash, broken down cars and alcohol. You would think we were living in the ghetto in Rio. Bottom line: AVOID. Do not fall for the tricks, the promises, because you will be very, very regretful you did. AVOID THIS ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD. This isn't just a bitching review, I want other people to know, so they do not have to endure what we had to endure.
