I had the absolute worst experience with this company. Where to start, I honestly can't fully explain how terrible it was. This company bases their quote on the number and detail in the items you wish to have moved. Friendly at first, seemed like we were getting a deal. Hard to get a hold of at times and hard to understand but a friend said they would be a good route to take in having to move across the country. Went through with the quote. The companies move "time" was not accurate. They showed up and had to re quote items because boxes were certain dimensions, furniture may have detail they didn't know about (with them being so picky about everything you would think they would have a representative come and physically see the items and quote based on that) so basically our entire quote before the move day was completely inaccurate. We were beyond shocked by the new price but unfortunately we were tied in with all the fine print and signatures. But wait, they charge hundreds of dollars in fees to wrap the furniture. They also charge another additional fee based on the amount of time it takes the movers to wrap and pack up the truck. Then it not only took a week past the date they said our things would arrive but the company that delivered our things was a different company than public van lines. The 2 movers arrived. Very rude and at first told us our things were not on their truck and that there was a mistake. The movers were rude to us based on their anger in the company they were blaming for not being able to find our things. They proceeded to fight through other people's things in the truck to eventually find our boxes and furniture scattered around in the truck. The 2 movers were throwing other people's boxes across the truck, glass broke and we saw things like guitars and fragile items being thrown. Finally after our stuff was found, the movers complained about having to carry furniture up stairs so we had to do it (full service moving company right???). As if this wasn't bad enough and after having to spend a fortune for a light load of items to be moved, we went through public van lines also to transport one of our vehicles. They obviously went through an entirely different company which were unprofessional, gave us no set of numbers to contact the driver who was transporting our car so for a few days we were stuck not in contact with anyone because the company would not answer any of our calls. Specifically in our contract we had a date for the car to arrive and also it was in our contract that the vehicle not to arrive before a specific date because we would not even be in the state yet. Nervous was an understatement. Finally we received a call from the company who said specifically he did not know who the driver was, who once again we could barely understand, but he said the car was going to arrive 3 days before we were even scheduled to arrive in the state. I nervously told him again that in our contract it states a date for a reason and that we would not be there. He yelled at me and said that I needed to "work" with him. So he had our car (which we paid $1500) to have moved from CA to LA, dropped off at a random body shop in LA until we got there. I would highly recommend going through a more professional and trusting company. We have been told that a uhaul would have been a rip off but I would have rather gone that route and dealt with myself rather than these unprofessional people.
Do not ever use this company! They messed up our contract, charged us for $500 in crating that was basically wrapping things in cardboard in such a way as to ensure there eminent destruction! We paid $1600 for what was supposed to be an $800 move and they damaged more than $3000.00 worth of our items. Then their insurance company offered us $45.00, (yes, two digits) to cover the damaged items. Do not use them ever!
