Take your machine anywhere but U-Sew. Took a 25 year old Singer that was out of time, left it with request to call me with an estimate. Got a call the next business day that it was ready for pick up. Was charged $75 for service charge and $4.50 for timing. I just finished cleaning and oiling the machine the same day I dropped it off. This was a rip off. The machine isn't worth $79.50
Came highly recommend among many of my friends & colleges as THE "Go To Place" to have any sewing machine fixed, tweaked, tuned up, or just some good Q & A Advice/assistance for people like me who haven't sewn since Home Ecc in School 30+ yrs ago & need a shop Vac to clear the cob webs out & refresh my memory.... If that's possible :)
They have serviced many of our theater's machines for over 9 years. Services are completed quickly and at very reasonable prices. They are always willing to provide information, find replacement accessories - whatever you need. Also refurbish and sell machines.
Visited this shop while visiting Florida -- not too impressed the first visit - the owner had to leave for an appointment before time to close- so I had to leave-- went back again a few days later--- LOVE THE DISPLAYS-- except they are mostly on One skill area - Applique Animals, scenery - old truck etc.-- Store does offer classes - but not many and not enough time slots for some one only here in the area for a short time- The owner was very kind and friendly-- I wish there was a free sewing time for people that would purchase fabric - while they sew on a project-- maybe two times a week- I am visiting but have my sewing machine with me-- and have NO PLACE TO SEW -- Hope she finds a time slot for people like me--- FUN SHOP- needs more differnt displays and offer more diverse classes - Hope you all VISIT !!
