The Crappiest Hour has food that is merely okay...not horrible, but not good. The problem tonight was servers who are not focused on the guest. Steffan is slow. Slow in service and slow in attentiveness. Took a good 20 minutes for him to get around to taking our food order. And it wasn't that busy. After the food runner brought our entrees, we desperately needed refills. No Steffan, no manager on the floor. A waitress nearby was rearranging napkins on a table. When I got her attention and asked if she could please find Steffan, she acted inconvenienced and went back to rearranging napkins. Ten minutes later, Steffan shows up asking what he can do...oblivious to the empty glasses on the table. At this point, I asked him to guess what the problem was. It took him two tries. When I asked him to bring the check, he proceeded to take a food order from a huge table. It took another 10 minutes to get the check. We asked for a to-go container, another ten minutes. He never apologized for his slow service or lack of attention. A lot of the employees at this restaurant seemed more focused on socializing with each other, hugging, and giving shoulder rubs. The guests are merely an afterthought. Having managed restaurants myself, I recognize this as the result of poor hiring standards and management that is disengaged. I don't recommend the Crappiest Hour and I will not return.

18. Sherlock's Pub
So, I'm in town for business and my friend who lives in Dallas, ask me to go to Sherlock's with her for Happy Hour! It's a Wednesday night and the place is packed!! We drink up on the $1.25 (bigger than just pints) beer and mingle our way around the room! Oh, and we had to dance a little cons…
I'm new in town and I'm use to Chicago bars. The people in this place are all ages and some professionals! I met a Dallas Cowboys football player. A little of everything here. Service was great!
21. Barley House
Great college hangout. We (my group of friends) spent many an evening here. Great bar. Great music. Great people. Every now and then, some of us will meet up here. Very relaxing and unpretentious. Nicely-priced drinks and usually a bit on the strong side. :)
This place is AWESOME! Great staff, and most importantly, every act is hillarious! Generally a great place to go! I have gone numerous times, and we have had such a great experience each time. Not sure what the other reviewers are talking about at all, I have never had an issue with the wa…

I would like to go back to this bar but can't deal with things that go on inside the bar. great staff has always been one of the joys of this bar and the music as well is great. but wish they would take care of undesirables that frequent this bar.
My son and I decided to go to The Angry Dog to have lunch, we were greeted by the hostess she said us down and asked what we would like to to drink. We reviewed the menu and we were ready to Place our order. Two gentlemen came into the restaurant after we did and sat down a few minutes later the waitress walked over and took the order. My son and I were still waiting for our order to be placed. So today we were experienced racism at the Angry Dog needless to say I will never return there again. Signed a paying customer
My gosh, went during the NFL championship and had to practically beg our server, Alex for service. Expect far more given the location and proximity to AA center
So glad this place closed. Maybe the people that take over will not be so morally corrupt. Disappointing to say the least.
My sweet friend was cussed out by the bouncer tonight as he put his hand in her face to show his frustration and anger. She pulled out her passport and flipped to the wrong page which set him off enough to drop the F-bomb and proceed to get in her face. Soon after, I went to the bar to ask for the manager and was directed to the front porch to meet him. Instead of the 20-something manager apologizing for his bouncer's rude behavior, he insisted on telling me about the rude patrons his bouncer has to put up with each night, excusing his behavior towards my friend. My boyfriend, his best friend, and my roommate decided tonight that Whippersnappers will not be a place we visit again. Many other bars in Knox-Henderson show their appreciation for our business in a far less confrontational way.
I agree with the person that posted that if your a guy that has any type of dance skills or personable skills the staff will single you and ban you for any reason. The bouncers and staff are pricks and couldn't get a chick if they paid big money. They get jealous if you can dance and get numbers. It's true y'all.
Tonight we decided to bring an out of town guest to the Rustic for dinner. There were 5 in our party so they first sat us at an oversized booth. These oversized booths are very uncomfortable for large parties since inevitably someone needs to use the restroom forcing half of the party to be inconvenienced. Whoever created these horseshoe booths is probably crazy. We were then moved to a large table close to a big metal door. This seating arrangement was better except that the table was sticky and there was a severe cold draft blowing in from somewhere. The restaurant was not very busy yet it took over 20 minutes to get someone to take a drink order. We asked for the table to be wiped down but it was so sticky we had to ask them to wipe it again. We finally ordered and received our food but because we had no silverware, we had to wait a few additional minutes. By the time we were able to eat, our entrees were cold - not warm- COLD. The cold food was tasty but I'm sure it would have tasted better Hot or at least warm. Waiting forever to get our drink order and then being served cold food are reason enough to avoid this place. Eat elsewhere and come for the music unless the music is as mediocre as the service. I will never know.
Horrible horrible horrible, HIRE illegal I say that by experience
Loud, odd layout, mediocre food. But the service is outstanding.
