The rental car location at the Charlotte Douglas Airport is terrible. The worst customer service experience. I rented a vehicle on August 4, 2015 and returned it on August 9, 2015 between the hour of 1:00pm and 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. I accidentally left my personal keys attached to the rental car keys. I know that was my mistake. Anyway, I called the next morning on August 10 and explained the situation. One of the employees acknowledged that they had a set of keys in the lost and found. He took a picture of the keys and sent them to me in a text message. I identified the keys as being mine. He said the keys were found in another vehicle. I said that didn't matter if I identified the keys and acknowledge they are mine. He said, let me do my due diligence. I will email and call the customer who rented the vehicle after you to see if there were keys attached to the rental keys. He also tells me that the best way to get into contact with him is by email. He said the car was due on August 14 and that he would get in contact with me. August 14th comes and there is no call or anything from the representative. I call all day on Friday the 14th and was not able to reach anyone. I finally talk to someone on Monday the 17th. They say there were no keys in the vehicle and the vehicle was rented again and is not due until the 20th. I said the reason why there are no keys in the vehicle is because, the keys are in the lost and found and a picture of them was sent to me. Essentially what they are saying is, we will not send you your keys and you are just out of luck. They played games with me the last two weeks, they have my keys there and I want my keys. The customer service is poor and unprofessional. If there is anyone at the company with any type of clout, you can contact me at email@example.com for a possible resolution to this debacle. I rented a car (an Altima...very nice) from the Charlotte-Douglas Int'l airport for 3 days, from May 8th to the 11th. The rental was fine, the car performed well. However, the employees did not! When I got to the counter, I told the woman I had a reservation. She asked if I were an Emerald Aisle member and I told her yes. She told me to go thru "those doors" and go pick out whatever car I wanted. I went out "those doors" and saw a tall gentelman and asked him about choosing a car to confirm I could have "any one I wanted." He said yes. But as I walked around, I noticed signs near the cars that read "Premium" and "Executive." I just wanted a basic vehicle. One that coincided with the on line reservation I made. I tried to find the tall gentleman again and NO ONE from NATIONAL was around so I asked two other gentlemen from Alamo. They told me since I was a member, I could choose any car from the signs that read "Aisle." I'm so glad I was able to find someone or else my rental bill would've been a lot higher than I anticipated. Furthermore, the woman at the booth when I drove out seemed a little upset at ME because I didn't have a rental agreement. NOT MY PROBLEM! The first woman I spoke to at the counter should've taken car of that. Anyway, this woman at the booth took my license and other info and sent me on my way. But not before I asked her for directions to my destination. For whatever reason, the GPS on my phone wasn't working so I figured she'd probably know how to get to Conover. Her directions were SO bad, that I almost ended up in VA! I was 2 hours off my course. TWO HOURS! I spent more time in the car than I did in the damn plane. I just wish she had said, here's a map, but I really can't help you b/c I'm not sure. I finally made it to my hotel by 3/3:30. I should've been there by 1:30 the latest. The car was great though. I agree with the review from buckhead...one of the nicest and easiest rentals I've ever done. I use this agency about once a month and have NEVER had any issues, other than the fact that they can get VERY busy and only have two agents working in the small office. Last year, after getting the shuttle to the airport, I realized that I had left my cell phone in the car I had just returned. Caught the return shuttle back to the office and was told that the phone had been turned into the manager's office, but he had already left for the day. Fortunately, the agent on duty used her phone to call my cell and by listening for the ring, we were able to locate the phone in the unlocked office (in a drawer), I got back on the shuttle and actually caught my flight on time. Amazing service!
Was staying in Salibury for the weekend to attend my family reunion. I notice that something wss leaking from the tental. I called the emegency number to try to get assistance, but there was no one local to assist me, which meant I would have to wait 90 mins for a tow an ride back to Charlotte 33 miles away in my party attire and miss the event that I flew out for. I had to hitch a ride to the party, iI spent alot of money to attend my family reunion and it was inconvenient. My flight was the nex morning at 630 and to go back to Charlotte was not happening.The staff at the airport have terrible customer service skills. Thankfully I was able to get the vehiclle bsck and make my flight on time.
I was arriving in town via train for a lately arranged business meeting. I called the office 30 minutes out to arrange/confirm pickup. The local agent was a little slow getting to the train station but quickly redeemed themselves by getting into my car expeditiously. I inform them that I was making the final leg of my business down to Spartanburg, SC and would be arriving back needing another ride back to the train station for my return home. When I arrived, I was immediately recognized, they came out (in the rain) checked vehicle, and got me back over to the train station with time to spare. Making the kid a very, very happy camper! First class all the way!
Highly recommend using this Enterprise! The experience from start to finish was one of the best overall interactions. We felt like we were treated with respect and honesty unlike another car rental company we used in the past. When we arrived our check in was very quick and easy. We were upgraded to an amazing car that we loved. The drop off was just as quick and easy. I allowed about an hour for drop off because it took over an hour to return a car to a previous different car rental place. I walked away very glad that I used Enterprise and will definitely use ONLY Enterprise in the future. Way to make a new customer for life!!
I was in the absolute need to for a large Suburban type vehicle as I was picking up a slew of colleagues for a meeting. They had one set aside for my arrival and brought it to me when I arrived. Had it for a week and it served us all well. Generally I do not need that type of vehicle. At return there was the nicest person I have ever encountered at car return. Then when I asked him if wanted what was left from a case of water, you would have thought I gave him the winning lottery ticket, as he was so thankful. People make businesses, it doesn't matter what type of business you are..
After renting a car from another company I was angry. I went back to the airport in Charlotte NC, and rented from Enterprise. At first it was flushstrating because I did not have enough money in my card for my complete stay in NC. Due to me being ripped of from another rental place. How ever Enterprise was put my worries at ease they told me I could rent the vehicle for a week and extend it when my week was up. NOT only that they kept the original contract offer. I tell you this company is awesome and I will from now on rent from Enterprise
I recently rented from Douglas Airport in Charlotte. It was very busy and they were out of the car I had reserved. They apologized for that and said they would upgrade me, which they did. Then they said because of the inconvenience, when I returned the car to the Greensboro airport to not fill the car, they will take care of the gas. Because of the length of the trip, I used the entire tank, and they said not a problem. Everything was great. I use Enterprise all the time and have never had a bad experience. Ray S.
My experience with this location was very good. The rep was watching for approaching customers and came out of the office to meet me. Walked me down the selection of car and pointed out the ones in the class I had reserved. The total process from my arrival to driving away was less than 5 minutes. When I returned the car a rep was waiting and had the car check in and my receipt printed before I got my coat on. Overall excellent experience, friendly attentive people and well maintained fleet.
