Had problem with our gas log and called William Smith and made an appointment they were on time fixed it quickly and it is working fine. We use them as they installed the gas log when the house was built and have served it before They are very busy so do not expect them to come running out when you call But to me that means they are doing excellent work
I had an old fireplace (15 Years Old) that needed service. Called WilliamSmith and scheduled Service Call. Service Rep was on time, very helpful in fixing my Old Fireplace. Decided to add a second fireplace on my deck. Best Decision I made was to go with WilliamSmith Fireplaces.
Exceptional Service! Purchased a PRIMO Grill from WilliamSmith to add to my Outdoor Kitchen. Service was prompt & courteous. Product recommended by Staff was outstanding along with suggestions on how to cook on the grill. Will Never Go Any Where Else for Fireplaces, Gas Logs or Grills!
LIKE PULLING TEETH (for three months):
Dec. 4th: Guy comes to look at broken fireplace. Part needs to be ordered from manufacturer.
Dec. 22nd: We call to check on stat of order. We’re told the part won’t arrive until after the holidays. ...
Jan. 4th(one month later): Call again. Nope, part still was not shipped from manufacturer.
Jan. 19th: Call again. Oh whoops, the order was never placed.
Feb. 9th(two months later): part comes in, technician installs part, but needs to order another part.
Feb. 18th : We call to make SURE part has been ordered. No one knows, they need to look into it…
Feb. 20th : We call again… Part was not ordered because they 1st needed to give us a quote…
Feb. 20th (almost three months later): We’re finally fed up with having to pull teeth to get the job done! They’ve lost us as customers, and they gained our word of WARNING to prospective customers!!!!

I've been calling for 2 days and have been getting pretty much blown off trying to get a part that was never installed on my brand new fireplace that should have been. Spoke with Martha 3 seperate times in 2 days and she still never called me back. Provided the part number on the first call, and she said they would have to call me back with the price (still never got a price) but said they may have a spare one laying around so I called Lenox, got the dimensions, called her back with them as directed and she was supposed to call me back on 10/20 by end of day to let me know if they had a spare - if not, wanted to order one.
So Yesterday, end of day came and went. Called earlier today (10/21) and reminded her and she said ""Oh the guy just walked in, let me talk to him and call you back"" well, today end of day came and went, and still nothing.
Called Lenox (Manufacturer) and informed them that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I guess I just wasn't important enough, or a large enough purchase for them to care about me.
Worst service I've ever not gotten... I think it's a shame CitySearch requires atleast one star because in my book you earn one just calling a customer back, and they clearly didnt....

Dad got his propane hook-up today, and he's just thrilled with his new logs! They look beautiful, and I think there's no doubt that they'll put off enough heat to keep him satisfied. And the electric start and remote was definitely the way to go - Dad looked like a kid at Christmas today pushing the buttons on his remote.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your help and the great service. We really appreciated how knowledgeable you are about your products and the whole process, and for providing good information without any sales pressure. Dad was so comfortable with you (and me too!), and that's especially important with elderly parents. And being able to see his options in your showroom was tremendously helpful. We definitely know where to go for any similar needs in the future!
Exceptional service with prompt and courteous staff. The products are in a class of their own. I am truly happy with my decision to add a new fireplace in my home. I am also looking forward to upgrading my outdoor life with a new grill for some great summer cookouts!

WilliamSmith Fireplaces is an outstanding small business providing quality service at a reasonable price. When we first contacted WilliamSmith about a fireplace for our new home we thought we new exaclty what we wanted, however, Steve Smith showed us several different types and helped us understand the pros and cons of each type and we ended up with something completely different for less money than the builder had origianally budgeted.
I would highly recommend working with a fireplaces company like WilliamSmith Fireplaces prior to setting a budget with your builder. You will end up with a better fireplace, log set than your builder will provide for the money.
