This is 10 garage warehouse with 5 garage in the back and 5 in front. The drivers are suppose to honk to let you know that they are coming into the warehouse and honk when they leave the warehouse. Their peripheral vision is block by the walls of the garage. You have to deal with the weather also. If the wind or snow or the vibration of the cars coming in and out of the warehouse and you pushing a cart full of boxes across 5 garage openings and a box falls, you have to deal with it. You are NOT allowed to tie down your boxes on the cart or after sortation. If you bring up safety issues to the managers and assistant managers, they will release you from your job. THEY DO NOT care for your safety. I guess that is why they only let managers and assistant managers go through the front door of the main office while workers have to go through the drive way of where the cars come out of the garage. You have to make sure the cars see you come into the driveway of where they exit out. If your are lucky they will honk to let you know they are coming out. Some drivers don't care, they will thrust forward and if you enter, good luck they don't hit you because they CAN'T see you because their peripheral vision is completely block because of the side walls of the garage where you a standing. GOOD luck not getting hit. Now, I understand why they have accidental AND DEATH insurance. I guess that is why Austin Amazon Logistic Center DAU 1 have their facebook closed. If you want to be a member, you have to send a request. But not all Amazon centers are like that. Just this one. I guess they are hiding something. Amazon Houston Hou 1 has their facebook completely open to the public with pictures of their warehouse. You can share them on facebook. They even have some pictures of their warehouse. I guess the managers and assistant managers care more for the safety of their workers at HOU 1 than DAU 1 does. If workers can get released and let go, why not managers and assistant managers? If they DON'T cared about the safety of the employees and the safety of preventing liabilities to the company, they too should be let go and replaced just like the workers. Workers who were let go for the wrong reason (they bring in stop signs to signal for cars to know that they are about to come in through the drive way but have the signs taken away from them when the company has put them in harm way already to get hit by a car by entering the warehouse through the drive way of where cars come out) because they try to save the company from getting any liabilities should be compensated.
Man, I should have never given that single mother with a kid and who had to take care of her elderly mother on her first appointment day at Amazon that creepy stare, I made her feel uncomfortable when all she did was come into her appointment, she looked lost and confused on her first day. Well, GOD saved her because if she would have stayed, she would have been in the hospital because of the flu outbreak because the virus survives in cold and cool area like an open warehouse during a storm or a snow storm and now she is in a more comfortable and warmer place where they take care of her and she walks in a door for the entrance, where we made her go through a drive way of where cars come out and she is all nice and warm while I live in a HELL WHOLE at Amazon due to crazy changing weather and temperature in a 5 garage opening in front and back and getting ready to call the ambulance to the hospital. GOD had taken me (Todd Bailey ) to hell. GOD has answered her prays to take me to hell. I don't know what else he has planned for me. But I'm sure I will find out soon, GOD.
