West Norriton Auto Wash:
Last week I went to West Norriton Auto Wash and unlike my usual visits for years, I commented that I was dissatisfied thinking that I never would hear about the matter. TO MY SURPRISE, I got a telephone call from Eddie (Manager) the next day and he apologized profusely and wanted the opportunity to make good. I went back today at a scheduled time and I think that he washed the car himself. Not only the outside and interior but the engine as well, You don't see many places like this place. I am very pleased!

I used Groupon to get a discounted full service detail for my car. As far as the detailing the car looked great. When it was done I took off down the road and was half way home when I noticed my glove box door fell open while driving. I pulled over on Trooper Rd and checked it to see what the problem was. Upon inspection I saw the the hinge on the door was snapped. I know that my glove box was in complete working condition when I left it at the Autowash, so I turned around and came back to report the damage.



When I pulled in, one of the guys came up to me. Almost as if he was waiting for me to come back. It just happened to be the same guy that said he worked on my car. I told him my glove box was broken and he immediately started going to his co-workers to back up his story. He stated they "never" go in the glove box and that he was blowing air on it and it fell open broken. Not really a believable story. I asked to speak to the manager and was pointed to Asif. After waiting for him to finish vacuming a vehicle he came over and I showed him the damage. His position was that two of his employees told him they didnt break it and so it must not have happened at their site. He was not even receptive to the fact that one of his employees may have put too much pressure on it and it broke. He also stated they do go into the glove box. So which is it? Do you or don't you? I told him that it wasn't broken when I dropped it off and then he even went as far as to state that I may be making up a story to get them to pay for my previously broken glove box. Like someone would pay $100 for a car detail just to get their glove box fixed. He never offered me anything in compensation and refused to even acknowlege that I had a legitimate complaint. After reading the other post where they stonewalled the person whose door handle was broken, I realize that I will never get reimbursed and will never use or recommend their establishment to anyone.



It is unfortunate that they have such a lax customer satisfaction policy. The will probably have 10x the amount of lost business from my reviews, comments and non-recommendations then if they would have owned up to damaging my car.



Here's a hint. If a customer is taking a higher end car to get detailed, they most likely didn't come there to create a fantasy scenario so they can get a piece of their car fixed. And they most likely have A LOT of connections in the area and should be given the benefit of the doubt. I guess you never heard of "the customer is always right". Good luck with that.
