9/22/15 Dialed up my favorite bakery, La Baguette Bakery & Cafe, well known for their baked goods and food. Ordered the 12 inch Chocolate Mousse cake to be picked up on 9/25/15 after 6 pm. Paid by credit card. No problems. It's a great cake.9/23/15 Noticed the regular charge of $48.71 for the cake on the account and then another charge of $64.95 from the bakery. I'm thinking they'll probably notice the extra charge and reverse it when they settle receipts to orders taken.9/24/15 The $48.71 charge settles and the $68.95 is still in process. I'll talk to the bakery when I pick up the cake the next day.9/25/15 I pick up the cake and show the manager the two charges to my account. Here is the response from the older lady whose usually there in the evenings."We have to ring up a whole sheet cake for the order." Still doesn't explain to me why there are two charges. I protest this and she just looks at me like I'm stupid. I then ask when do I get credit back for my $64.95? A younger employee responds, "It takes 72 hours for the bank charge to reverse." I then respond by saying to him I'm not paying for anything but the cake. It should be reversed immediately. Again, no response.9/28/15 The $64.95 charge is still in process and I call and leave a message for the manager to call me back at 10 am when she arrives. Received a phone call that I believe was from the bakery while I was in a meeting. It was after 2 pm but no message was left.9/29/15 the $64.95 charge is still in process. At this point, if I call the bakery, it wouldn't be pretty.1. They should not have charged me for something I didn't purchase.2. They lied about 72 hours to reverse the charge. I've made immediate refunds on credit card charges myself. They settle the same day.
We stop by Gigis each time we're in Norman for OU events. Often times I buy 1 dozen to take back to my school on Mondays. They carefully seal the box with saran wrap so that they stay fresh! 36-48 hours later they're still delicious and very fresh! Yummy! You should go!
I have had several dozen cupcakes from the first days SS opened. I have a goal of trying every flavor but there's always a new one. These girls are not only great bakers but do everything they can to make their customers happy. The flavored are great and the textures are the best. Being a mother of 8 you just can't make everyone happy unless I run to SS and get a variety of cupcakes. The best part is I always have 2-3 left for treats (or rewards) to those who earn them, unless Dad and I get to them first. And I am so happy they are offering decorating classes and Birthday parties Our 7 year old daughter says she would much rather have that then the usual kind of parties she goes to. Saves money, time, and no clean up for Mom, give them a call I guarantee you will not be disappointed. And try a chocholate covered strawberry.....mmmmm
Amy made the wedding cake of my daughters dreams....It was so good, guest raved and raved about it! She will be making all our cakes from now on!
They have great and yummy cupcakes!
Very tasty cupcakes, and quick service.
I just had some Christmas cookies made for me by these ladies. They were amazing and their service was great. I would recommend them to anyone

Wedding and Groom Cake - We ordered our wedding cake and grooms cake from Emma J's Bakery. The cake tasted great but was done very sloppy. The wedding cake design I wanted was very simple and she made it seem like it would not be a problem doing/duplicating it. It was a simple white icing with basically rectangles that had piped silver icing outlining the retangles. She said that was what she was going to do. However when I saw the cake it was clear that that is not what was done. She sprinkled the edges of the rectangles with silver dust or something so they looked very sloppy and not crisp/clean like the photo. I asked for a cool spiderman cake for my husbands-grooms cake and got something that looked like it came from walmart with a spiderman toy at the top of the cake that looked like it came from the dollar store (it broke when we took it off the cake). She brought the cake to the venue and I was told she was not even finished with it when she got there with it an hour late. My sister-n-law said she was rushing putting last details on it after she brought it. I loved the price but I would have paid more for a prettier cake. I think she should stick to making cupcakes and leave wedding cakes to someone with more artist skills. To a certain extent I think you get what you pay for and the price was inexpensive but the cake showed it. :( It did taste good though. So that was good.
