I went to Sushi King in Norfolk, VA twice on 15 May 2016. Upon checking my credit statement though, Sushi King had charged me 3 times; twice including the tip, and then once without a tip. I gave the transaction a few days to see if it fell off my account, but once it posted, I went back to Sushi King to resolve the issue. The manager took my credit information from me to compare to her records, then came back without my information. She continued to try and talk in circles, without giving me my information back and tried to act like the fact that she was trying to keep it wasn't concerning. She was extremely rude, and I had to yell at her before she would finally give me back my credit information. She refused to reimburse me for the extra charge. In the midst of all of this, she also said that this had happened to other people that week, and she would not refund them their money as well. I'm writing this review, because I am concerned that they are committing fraud.
I LOVE THIS PLACE, I ALWAYS HAVE! I USED TO LIVE DOWN THE STREET FROM IT, AND WENT THERE ALL THE TIME. THE SUSHI AND THE HIBACHI IS FANTASTIC. THE S…

Don't... JUST DON'T!Stay the hell away from this place. This is the worst buffet I have ever been to. Stale food, dirty counters, dirty grill, dirty bathroom, sushi made me sick one time, and on top of that, no one there speaks English except for the receptionist if the receptionist happen to be an American. My wife likes the place because of the decorations and the space. I hate that place, but we go there about 3 times a year.Last time we went, they made a mistake in our receipt. They charged us $6.75 more because they said we came at dinner time. we came at 3:15 pm which is lunch, and stayed there until 4:20 PM. The "manager" was a short skinny Chinese girl who did not speak English. She refused to adjust the receipt. We told her that we will pay the charge for 2 people with 2 drinks, but she has to call the police for the remainder which is $6.75 because we were there at lunch time and they have not even started to put the dinner items. We are going to court for the $6.75 as the officer described it as petty larceny. I don't know how in the hell this place is still in business. What a joke!
Over the last couple of years we have eaten at this restaurant and have always been surprised with the service and the food. The last time we were we spent almost two hours, but the staff never rushed us and we had some of the best sushi I have had in a long time even when in Japan.
I love this place! Sushi is amazing, saki is amazing, environment is amazing... I will definitely be coming back! <3
