Anyone considering fostering or transferring to a foster care agency, my advice to you is to delete CCS(Creative Community Services)from your options at once. I've been fostering for almost 14 years with three different agencies(one year with CCS) and this is the most unprofessional corrupt shady foster care agency I've ever been with or heard of.If you are the type of foster parent that wants input or decision making for your child, steer clear of CCS because that's now how CCS works. Foster parents are not even involved in decision making for the child which is what I've become accustomed to with my other real agencies. What CCS says goes rather you agree with CCS or not. I felt like I was in a cult with these crazy people. If you don't comply with their orders, they literally snatch the child from your home for false BS reasons which is what was done to me. After I brought my medically fragile child I had for 4 years in my home to this tacky shady agency,(my previous agency was closed down by the state) because I didn't jump when they said jump they removed my child from my home for no valid reason. My CCS caseworker actually called my child's Dfacs caseworker and told flat out lies about my care of my child just to find a reason to remove child even though the monthly paperwork CCS turns in to Dfacs said otherwise. CCS also told foolish lies to my now current agency just to try to stop me from fostering again. These people are evil & sadistic. From my CCS caseworker to her supervisor to the director to the owner of this horrible agency, Sally Buchanan, ALL evil corrupt liars. Worst experience of my 14 year foster care tenure. I almost stopped fostering, this was a Nightmare. If that's not bad enough (3) months later, I get a phone call from a fellow foster parent friend of mine who tells me CCS did the exact same thing to her. CCS took her medically fragile child from her home. She was shocked( even though I warned her). To add salt to the wound, when she tried to move on and foster with other agencies, she couldn't because of CCS bad mouthing her as a foster parent when agency asked CCS for a referral. On top of that for "privacy" reasons they wouldn't even tell her what CCS said about her. She's still trying. I could go on and one about this horrible evil agency about other things ( broken state policies, more lies) but this review will turn into a book. From my 14 year experience in fostering, the most important thing when dealing with these children in foster care is to maintain stability for these children. Disrupting placements are a last resort if needed. With CCS, they removed 2 children from their foster homes in (3) months(I'm sure they're probably many more since they've been in business), disrupting placements for no valid reasons. CCS doesn't care about these children or they wouldn't do what they're doing. FYI, neither me or my foster parent friend got a visit from CPS( Child Protective Services) after our children were removed which is customary when the child's care is in question. That's because the child's care was never in question. CCS cares about no one but themselves and power to do it their way no matter what. You have my experience and I suggest, unlike me, anyone considering CCS as a foster care agency to steer clear away from this shady corrupt company. It's not worth the headache and all the BS I went through. My only wish is that I had the option to give this horrible agency ZERO stars because they don't deserve the one I was forced to give them.Karen Franklin
My lease was up 07/31/2016. I was fully out and cleaned up by 07/29/2016. It's now 10/10/2016 and I have yet to receive my security deposit back! I have been given the "run-around" 2 months whenever I have contacted the company in regards to my refund. "Checks in the mail", never shows. Reissued a new check to be mailed to me (at which point a $40 fee was assessed), never shows. Called the company to arrange for a check to be picked up and was told it would ready and waiting with the receptionist. Girlfriend takes off of school to pick up the check and you guessed it, "Checks not available." Wouldn't recommend DKRENTALS to my worst enemy!!!
We needed to rent a larger home for our idiot kids who moved out then came back... and found a very nice house managed by DK Rentals. We signed an agreement to rent the house, put down a $1,000 deposit and went about our business, ready to sign the lease in two weeks.Four days later, my wife was diagnosed with Cancer. In the next 10 days, we spent over $6,000 in medical bills (that's WITH insurance) and found that we could no longer step up to a larger house.I contacted Julie, who could not have been more understanding. They even went so far as to return our deposit, noting that they know how financially draining a severe illness can be.Compassion in a person is a rate thing. Compassion from a company is as scarce as a Unicorn. I can't wait to get through with our current hardship - my first stop will be back to DK Rentals to see what they have available.
I rented a house from them paid my rent on time even with a gas leak for the first 3 months of my residency. Cleaned up the property and they send me a bill for 3,200 in damages when the damages existed prior to me living there. They are out to keep your deposit and they don't fix anything in a timely manner or with real professional services all bootleg maintenance. Worst company ever!! Run fast
This guy will scam you. He hauled a load of scrap for us and never brought us the money. And now we can't get a hold of him.
This company is terrible. I am the owner of a condo for rent, and hired them to procure a tenant and manage my contract. After weeks of screwing around with one signed tenant, he backed out of the deal, and was able to because DK Rentals didn't get a lease signed or a proper agreement signed with his deposit. He kept his deposit, I was out the time and expense, and DK Rentals didn't seem to care in the slightest. I fired them but had to pay $900 to get out of my contract. They rendered no service, added no value, and cost me money and time. Terrible experience I'd hate to see someone else repeat.
