Business Description
At Brick Alley Pub we have it all: "pub style" comfort food to modern multicultural cuisine all served with genuine down-home hospitality. Like America itself, Brick Alley is one big melting pot of ethnicities, flavors, and fun. If you are looking for stiff, over the top formal service with small portions of over-priced food, we are not that place. After more than 30 years as one of Rhode Island's most popular restaurants with locals and tourists alike, the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has earned landmark status. Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. Begin your dinner with a selection from our cocktail menu or choose a wine from our extensive wine list. This wine list features over 250 different vintages and has received the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence. Open for lunch and dinner, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant accepts reservations and offers an upstairs function room that can accommodate up to 170 people. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has received favorable reviews from countless local and national publications including: The Providence Journal, Travel-Holiday, Ford Times, Rhode Island Monthly, and Newport Life Magazine. In addition, Jameson Irish Whiskey bestowed the restaurant with their "Best Irish Coffee Award" for three consecutive years and inducted the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant into their Hall of Fame. Great Spot !!!!!!!!

The people have spoken, ""The Brink"" is the best spot in Newport. I grew up in the area, started every summer night before the bars at this spot. What every you get you will not be let down. The bartender's are great, and not cheap on the drink. It's a place for anyone. The insider is very original, like you nothing you have ever seen, it's like a real life Cheers.

The Place to be in Newport

Restaurant was trendy and was packed on a Thursday night in the off-season. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table at 7PM but it was worth it. The ambience was that of a upscale sports bar. Filet was excellent and the wife enjoyed the bottomless salad bar which also came with my meal. Good wine selection and service was excellent. Seems to be a favorite amoung the locals as well as tourists.

Great food and friendly service

We got lucky and found a parking space right in front of Brick Alley. Not know anything about it except the awards posted by the front door, we took a chance and were very happy with our lunch. My husband's steak and cheese sandwich was huge and very good, I chose the Buffalo chicken pizza and this was wonderful, just really tasty. My sister picked the club sandwich and it was very generous too. Can't wait to go back and try the dinner options sometime. Our server was pleasant and refilled drinks right way - nice. The salad bar looked good. Bathrooms were spotless, which is one of my criteria for a top rating.

The Brick Alley Pub is a great restaurant

The appetizers are excellent and so is the steak au poivre (which you can have on whatever cut you'd like if you ask - I chose the rib eye, YUM). Your entree includes the salad bar which is great too. The Pub is very busy but it is worth the visit. If you have the appetite (so much food!) and can take the time to relax and enjoy the evening, this is the place to go. Have one of their signature drinks. They also sell their hot sauces to take home if you like.

Fun casual restaurant with good food

Great place to take friends and family, the only problem is there can be long waits, depending on what time you go. It never seems to be as long as they say, but you can wait in the bar. Everyone seems to love the salad bar, and the hamburger is always a good choice. The menu is extensive, from sandwiches, pasta, steak to pizza. The service is usually very good (our favorite waitress is Sue S.)

The place to go in Newport with family or alone!

Great Place! Been here many times on my trips to Newport and manage always to find something new to try. They have a great selection and something for almost everyone, including the kids. The food is plentiful, well prepared and always delicious. My experiences with service have been great as well, the waiters and waitresses are always very personable and well trained. Very cool atmosphere with alot of memorabilia and other antiques. A lot of local Newport culture and history is on the walls! Just a great place to bring a family or get a drink, sometimes there is a wait, but there is plenty of shopping around the area to do in the mean time.

The Brick Alley Pub is over rated. Their food is just okay. I dont see why people wait in line to eat there. The only thing is they have great drinks! But i would rather go somewhere else to eat.
