It's apparent this place needs an updated rating since the last one is over 3 years old.I don't know what happened to this location, but the food quality and service have dropped dramatically over the past year or so. This location was our family's favorite, but with the rapid turnover of staff and management, it's no longer on our list of places to eat. About a month ago we went in around 8pm for their Chicken and Rice special. We even noted the chalk board was listing it. We were seated but it was a good 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Finally a "Rising Star" came by to take our order. My wife ordered the Chicken and Rice and I got something else. Another 10 minutes went by before we got our drinks and biscuits - an omen. Shortly after getting the drinks the server came back and said the kitchen was all out of rice and would it be ok to give my wife mashed potatos instead. Um, no, that's not what we came in for. I asked how long it would take to make rice, and was told 20-25 minutes. Huh?? I then asked if they were out of rice, why was the sign still up advertising it? He said, "I don't know" and walked away. A few minutes later he came back to our table - CARRYING THAT SIGN - and said, "See, now it's been taken down." We immediately left, got in the car, called the Hampton location to make sure they had what we wanted: they did and that's where we went. Not only was the service outstanding, the food was perfect. We've since been going to that location and have NEVER been disappointed.
