Great Clips location on Monticello Ave in Williamsburg, Virginia, was appalling. My 9 year old daughter had long thick hair. We asked for a shoulder length cut and a shampoo. First mistake, no shampoo. The cut was a dry cut. As a result, the cut was uneven on the sides and even in the back. It was shocking how the salonist cut her hair. Second mistake, the salonist bunched my daughter's hair in a bunch and just chopped it off with one snip. And it was no longer shoulder length! It was shorter than that! I'd consider that a major mistake - the customer didn't get the length she desired - third mistake. Then she started cutting the bottom to make it all even except it wasn't even!! She didn't use the 7-point section method. She just trimmed the bottom - through the thick hair. When we got home, we noticed the left front was not the same length as the right front - mistake four. There was a small section of hair in the back that protruded from the rest - it was cut unevenly - mistake five. I had to take a scissor and snip it so it didn't stick out. Unbelievable. I am so upset with this haircut. This experience has me wondering what kind of people are hired to cut hair? Who does a dry cut??? Who cuts hair just by chopping it off? Why wasn't the hair sectionalized especially considering its thickness. Holy moley is all I can say. Never never again will we go to Great Clips. You get what you pay for and at $9.99 you get major disappointment.
