I picked up a nail in my tire and stopped in on the way home from work. Joey, the technician was knowledgeable. courteous and very prompt. He plugged the tire and had me in and out within 30 minutes. Tony, the manager thanked me for stopping in and told me there was no charge. Amazing!!

Bob Sumeral Newport did faulty work on my car. It was stated by their master mechanic that they reconnected my radiator hose improperly, causing my car to overheat multiple times. As a result my car has been sent to insurance and totaled since the damage done (now needs new engine), exceeds my cars value. Insurance is supposed to be giving me the value of my car. Meanwhile, AAA (the owner of bob sumeral Newport) is refusing to refund the $1200+ I paid for this faulty work to be completed. They seem to think me getting the value of my car that was totaled because of them is fair. Anna Fightmaster, the risk manager of AAA, stated the money I paid for the work to be completed is added in with the insurance claim. Although, the Insurance company has told me on numerous occasions that they will not reimburse me for ANY of the “work completed” on my car. The insurance company also emailed me full packet showing exactly where they came up with the estimate for my claim. Again, NO WHERE does it show me being reimbursed for the work I paid to have completed, PROPERLY. I have been emailing Anna for a LONG time now and she has been saying that she can explain to me how this money is added to my claim, to call her. I have continuously asked her to email me this explanation because I don’t get off work early enough and she is just completely ignoring my emails. She and the other 3 people copied on our emails…… There is so much more I could add to this complaint, like how I was also charged for a rental they were supposed to be providing me with, causing overdraft fees (that ive finally been reimbursed for) but Ill spare you every little detail from our situation, because Im really hoping people will take the time to read this and choose wisely on who they trust their car with. Or even AAA whose corporate couldn’t care any less about their customers.

I have had two bad experiences with this company. First, approx yr ago, told I need both tie rods and ball joints. Did not need ball joints. Recently had a AAA guy come and test my alternator/battery. Tells me alternator fine but may need battery. Next day I have it towed to Bob Sumeral because I was afraid my regular mechanic would be too busy and I would miss work again. Reluctantly let BS at it again. Told me I needed both alternator and battery $650. Told them I didn't have it so they just replaced alternator. No way to prove but I know it was probably a belt or something else. I will never go there again. I will also drop AAA because of them.
