The Rip Tide Car Wash in Newnan, GA caused paint damage to my car due to broken car wash equipment and employee error. The management has since called me, and we will meet up next week to look at the car.
2 months in a row I have been double charged for my fast pass. I have called several times & no one can help me. I am told only Will or Mark can fix & neither are ever in. If I can't get this resolved today I am filing a complaint with the BBB. I just called & spoke to Austin & he hung up on me.
I decided to do something nice for my husband before he got home from a week long trip and clean his car. Boy was that a horrible idea. I specifically asked his employees would it be okay to go through the wash with my roof rack on top of the car. The employees response was, "I don't see why not. People with roof racks do it all of the time". EXACT RESPONSE! So I precede to go through the wash. At the end of the wash my car starts to jolt uncontrollably and almost TIP OVER because the wash was ripping my roof rack off of the car. My car then keeps trying to run over the rack for a good minute before the employees realized something was wrong. I finally get out of the wash and get to inspect everything. My $1000 bike rack is nothing but a mangled mess of metal and my car has extensive damage totaling over $6k. His employees then tell me, and do quote, "The owner is on vacation but he will be back in a week and he will fix your car and replace your bike rack". I'm completely satisfied with this answer and I am given his cell number to contact him. For 2 WEEKS he kept giving me the run around about his insurance saying that he still hasn't heard from them. We even went up to the office when he got back from vacation and he told my husband and I that he will make everything right. Needless to say after him giving me the run around for two weeks and never coming through with the promised phone calls or meetings, my husband gave him a call. He told us that his insurance said that "the only way you will get anything out of us is if you take us to small claims court and sue". What business owner and/or insurance company says that!? After my husband hung up the phone, he called the office and an employer answer and told my husband the same thing that they told me when I went to the wash that day. He said, "It shouldn't have been a problem going through the car wash because everyone with a roof rack goes through it". He also told us that the guy that said all of this no longer works there. He conveniently got a "better job". More like he probably got fired. If anyone wants more information please do feel free to contact me.
This is a terrible car wash. I will not be taking my car there ever again. The staff is rude and the owner is to concerned about a quick buck. They damaged my car and refuse to fix the damages they caused. What business owner tells a person the only way to make his insurance company help is to sue. WTF
