My name is Mike Padrick (paid rick) and I’m the head Beachbody coach of Team Summer Body! I’m a 25 year old 6′ 158 lb man. I’ve done two rounds of P90X, three rounds of P90X2, three rounds of Body Beast, a round of Insanity, and finally a round of Insanity: The Asylum. I’ve played WoW for a good number of years, and because of that I gained a LOT of weight, but I’ll get into that. I’d say what people use to describe me as far as activity goes, is I’m a Martial Artist. I’m almost a master in Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do, both are Korean martial arts. I’ve done them since I was 5 years old, so 20 years. My Beachbody journey has been a love/hate relationship. It took me WAY too long to love it. But I do now. Let’s go back to July 2011. I weighed 245lbs, I played World of Warcraft for a good 7 or 8 hours on a short day, I went to work and came home. I was a hermit. I didn’t go out, I didn’t eat right, in fact I ate fast food 3 meals a day. I avoided mirrors at ALL costs, I never took pictures, I became angry and hateful to who I was. I knew it was time for a change. Week 2 of July 2011 I made the choice to finally do P90X. I started eating right, I started losing weight. I eventually stopped playing WoW all together, (even tho I don’t blame video games at all for my body at that time. It was my fault 100%. I still play my PS3, currently I’m playing Borderlands 2.), and most importantly I started liking who I was becoming. I’m happier now, I’m out with friends I had lost touch with. I went back to church, I’m taking pictures! That might not seem like a lot, but believe me when I say I would almost break cameras if someone ACCIDENTALLY took pictures of me. Now I welcome it! Guys, if I can do this, ANYONE can. You just need the right motivation and support, I know I did, anyway. That is where I come in. Over the course of my 180 days (so two rounds of P90X, since each round is 90 days), I cheated on my diet, I skipped some workouts, and it’s 100% my fault that it took longer than 90 days. Learn from my mistake, guys. BUT I DIDN’T QUIT! I lost 90 pounds! I’m only getting started. My goal with this blog is to help YOU. Yes, my friend, you. Want to get fit? Awesome. Want to lose weight?
