I just recently got married at Newcastle and have nothing but good things to say.
The grounds are stunning and the barn is so rustic and charming. Both our ceremony and reception were beautiful and every detail was executed perfectly. Everything was beyond my expectations - the food was amazing (we had guests comment on how it was the best 'wedding food' they'd ever had), the ceremony went perfectly (absolutely NO road noise at all), and the reception was a blast (highly recommend the Jensen photobooth).
I see a lot of comments about Georgia's attitude. She is not there to make friends, she is there to do business and make sure your day runs smoothly - and she does just that. She knows what works and what doesn't as she's done this way more times than any incoming bride has. She made suggestions, fine-tuned details, and helped me envision what I wanted. I appreciated her honesty, bluntness, and professional attitude. I actually found her and her husband quite friendly and extremely helpful. All of the vendors she recommended were awesome and I'm so glad she gave us direction. On the day of the wedding all she asked I do is relax and she took care of everything.
I cannot recommend Newcastle Wedding Gardens enough. We had several guests tell us it was the best wedding they'd ever attended - and everyone commented on how pretty the site was. I can honestly and proudly say our wedding day was perfect - there is not one thing I would change.

Ok, as a wedding professional myself (photographer) I can fairly say that I have worked at just about every wedding venue in the Sacramento area. Of all of them, nothing compares to what Newcastle Wedding Gardens has to offer. Many of the negative reviews seem to focus on the owners controlling personality. Well, if these people wanted to rent a hall and just go for it, then this venue is not for them! There is a reason that Georgia provides so much input. SHE CARES ABOUT HER BRIDES!! It's that simple. Like I said earlier, I work as way too many venues where the people who run the event could not care less as to how it runs. It is all about numbers and a get em in, get em out mindset. The owners of this facility have invested a great deal of money making certain that every event runs like clockwork and when you have the benefit of someone who has been in the industry as long as she has you just might want to listen as to what works and what does not. Whoever said that the brides don't have any say in how their day will go is just not telling the truth. I know from personal knowledge that she takes great strides to ensure that EVERY detail is met and everyone leaves with a smile on their face. She has a list of preferred vendors who are true professionals. She will not accept anything less than the best as she is not just looking to serve you dinner and then go away. This is their home as well as their business. It is one of the most beautiful garden settings anywhere. A comfortable lush ceremony site, a private, secure parking lot for your guests, warm and inviting reception building, and one last thing, the food, oh the food! The caterer's who she contracted with to serve you is the best in the business. I can barely write this as I am starting to salivate. Really! :) So, please take what you read with a grain of salt and if you are planning your wedding, take the time to visit the venue and see for yourself what Newcastle Wedding Gardens can do for you. I promise, you will not regret it!

This is a beautiful venue, excellent food and service. Georgia does run a tight ship, but can you blame her? She takes charge and runs the show, timing is very important and someone needs to do it. She saved the day, when my fiance' got viral meningitis and the doctors told us it was the flu and he'd be OK, I waited till the day before the wedding to cancel. Georgia told me we could reschedule, she cancelled the caterers and was reassuring, what a relief. We married 6 weeks later and it was perfect. Oh, my husband and I love to swing dance and these floors were the Best we've ever danced on!

My daughter was married at the Newcastle Wedding Garden last weekend. Everything was beautiful. The wedding started exactly on time. The food was great. The service was excellent. The staff helped take all of gifts to the car. They also provided a snack for the bride and groom to take on their limosine trip to the airport. My only complaint was that there was street traffic sounds while they were exchanging their vows. Each had microphones on but at the time my daughter was reciting her vows, a motorcycle came by and drownded her out. No way to avoid this. It was on a Sunday afternoon. There was also a train that went by just before the ceremony started. Another train went by during the ceremony.

When my husband and I first found this wedding venue we were amazed at the beauty and setting. The owner knows how to sell her venue however once you put that deposit down things change. It is very expensive (your not really thinking of costs entirely when you are planning your dream day...you get wrapped up & arent thinking). We ended up putting the deposit down and the owner almost immediatley turned controlling, rude and down right degrading during the process. Her input seemed more important than the bride and groom!
She will only allow you to use her select DJ's which are also outrageous for what you get. We didnt get half the songs we wanted include in this that we didnt get the money dance or chicken dance played as requested... c'mon those are wedding traditions!!
The catering company sucked! We had to pay for our taste testing when we were paying them $5000 for 85 guests... we were shocked when they gave us a bill. They were rude and unprofessional... our sales rep never remembered who we were even though we had seen him probably over a dozen times. The food didnt look or taste the same as it did during our taste testing.
This site is gorgeous and we had a beautiful wedding but when we renew our vows we will not be going back to Newcastle Wedding Gardens and its sad to say we will not be referring any of our family or friends due to feeling unwelcome and pushed around.

This location is beautiful, but the owner is pushy and believes her way is the only way. We were reassured several times that the inside site would be cool, but it was very hot, and no explanation was given. She got the music wrong, and argued with us on what it was to be. She interferred with the ceremony wording, and also with the wedding procession. She only allows one caterer, and only an expensive selection of DJ's. This is not a place to use if you have any ideas on how you want your own wedding to go. We are planning another wedding in a year for another member of the family, and we will not be using anyone she recommended except for the Bakery for the cake.
