I Refuse To Go Anywhere Else!

I have been to Stones for both service and to purchase a machine. The machine was a 2000 Yamaha Big Bear. I told them my budget and what I needed and they showed me 2 machines they knew I would like. I was able to test drive the quad and just loved it. Also the thing was in mint condition with low hours. It was taken as a trade in. I could have taken it that day, but they wanted to give it a full service. They installed a new air filter, changed the oil and spark plug, and gave it a nice washing. It was seriously like new when I got it!

My service visit was for my 2003 Yamaha Raptor 660. I had blown the clutch out practicing holeshots for a hare scramble I was going to run in. Needless to say, the OEM clutch couldn't take it and blew out. I took it in to them and asked a bunch of questions. All of which I got answers to! I wanted the ever so hard to find Yamaha GYT-R clutch since it is considered one of the better clutches for that machine. Terry was able to find one from his sources no problem! Since I had it in I had them adjust the valves, clean the carbs, and check it over. It was night and day when I got the machine back. It literally fires up with just a tap of the starter. Terry really did a good job on the carbs and the clutch is super grabby. Shortly after I got it home, it started acting like it was starving for fuel and skipping. I called the shop and they had me bring it in right away. Terry fired it up right in the back of my truck and within 2 seconds knew what the issue was. The parking brake sensor was cracked and water got into it when I pressure washed it. It was shorting out causing the safety circuit to come on keeping the quad from revving too high in case the brake was engaged. Since I told him I was removing the parking brake he removed the unneeded wiring harness for me. After that the machine ran like a champ again. It took him all of 10 minutes and he refused to take payment for it!

Honestly, you would be foolish to take your business anywhere else. They may be a bit out of the way, but the mom and pop feel and the amount of knowledge that is there makes it worth the trip. I have been to bigger, fancier dealerships and honestly was not impressed. I didn't get the personal attention or quality of work I got at Stones.
