Fast and friendly service. Made the reservation online and car was waiting when I arrived, even though I was earlier than expected. Gentleman at the counter couldn't have been nicer or more efficient, even walked us from the counter through to the pick up area. They offered to upgrade our car from a full size to an SUV for only $10 - a no brainer since we were traveling with 4 tall people and a lot of luggage from an international trip. (They even put cold, bottled water in the car, a welcome sight after a long day on multiple flights.) I've used Enterprise before and will continue to do so. They seem to be the company with the most efficient people, the fewest unexpected charges and the easiest rental and return process. Highly recommended.
Getting car as a executive member was fast and easy. During my 21 days rental period I had a problem with the car tire (the TPMS light was on. I checked 2 consecutive days and the tire pressure was all good) I was asked to take it near by National place and I did the same, on arrival I was told they don't have any car to give it to me like are you kidding me! I drove 40 minutes to get here. Finally after 60 minutes of back and forth they did something to car and told me that now the car is all good. National has really bad service when it comes to any problem with your rental car.
So hassle-free! Gave my reservation code, showed my ID at the desk (no line to wait in!- employees were very efficient!) and was kindly advice to proceed to the parking lot and some alarm and meet me and show me my choice of cars. He was very helpful and very quick, as well as courteous and kind, just like the representative at the desk. Long story short, within approximately five minutes of approaching the enterprise desk, I was literally driving out of the airport! Great, friendly and professional staff. I will definitely use enterprise again.
I haven't had a good experience when renting from this location. Last week I picked up a Altima that was making all sounds of noise when hitting the breaks. The interior was poorly kept, clearly it wasn't washed and cleaned. The prior week I had to wait for 15 minutes to get my receipt when I returned the vehicle. The customer service agents didn't care that business travelers such as me have flights to catch. The selection of cars at this location isn't that great. I wouldn't recommend this to any of the business travelers.
As always my experience with Enterprise was great. I did make an issue for myself when I locked the car keys in the trunk. AAA came to the rescue but I'm wondering if there could be any preventive measures, like: hook on key loop to latch on belt loop or purse like I do at home. Also noticed that both keys are on same non-opening loop. I know that is prevent "loss" of keys but makes it impossible to share a car rental or rescue locked up key as they are always together.
Great service! Quick in and out form the airports, reasonable price and great car selection. However I will say that Boston Logan Intl Airport did provide a much better service than Newark, the price was more reasonable and the staff much more attentive. I was also disappointed that when I returned the car that I rented from Newark airport and I found out that I was being charged per mile driven which is something I had never had to deal with when using National previously.
As an Emerald Club member, I'm told to pick a car out of the row of cars (just not the Executive row), which is fine with me. When I took one of the cars to the check out booth, I was told that I should have picked a "compact" car because that's the policy for my corporate account. How would I know which car out of that row is considered a "compact" if it is not marked as such? If there is yet another row that is just for Compact cars, I would be happy to go to that row.
I visit my daughter and her family in NJ. I take the Amtrak train to Newark Penn station and walk across the street to the Enterprise car rental location next to the Hilton. I always find the staff very accommodating and helpful. There was one time that my reservation was not in the system for some reason. The staff on duty took care of my issue without any problems. I love Enterprise. Keep up the great work.
I'm an Executive Club member and recently rented from EWR airport. I had no issues with staff, with the car, or with personnel. Any time I rent from any vendor (not just National), I take the time to do a walk around and take pictures of the car on my phone, particularly if there are scratches, etc. While EWR is on of my least favorite airports to use, I have not yet had any problems with renting from National.
Arrived @ Newark car was ready - "OG" She was very polite, bright and courteous and got us on our way after a terribly long flight across country and a long journey still. Pick up was awesome, drop off was just as efficient and quick. Car was new and clean. Jeeps needs a bigger engine though (that's personal). Will always go Enterprise - this experience continues to anchor my satisfaction with this company. BZ
