Prices are all over the place. Basically if you want someone good, it’s a car payment or you can have a newbie for what normal salons charge. Front desk was rude and the salon was dusty and very chopped up looking.
Absolutely terrible haircut. Brought in a photo of what I wanted and the final product was nowhere close. Had to immediately go somewhere to get this horrendous job fixed. Please see photo for what I wanted on the left, what I received in the middle, and how I had to fix it on the right. The most disappointing part is that I know Anthony can give a good haircut. Went to him a few months before and received a great cut, but this completely changed my view. Will never go back. If you're a guy and need a cut in Newark just go to US Male. Cheaper and much better
Horrible! I have been coming to the salon long enough to know when someone has limited experience. I went to the other side to get a pedicure and while sitting there I quietly asked the gentleman if he could get someone to redo my nails and showed him my hands. My nails were uneven, and lumpy. Another technician working nearby and the woman doing my nails began to converse. Unfortunately, I was not able to understand what was being said. However, once the technician started my pedicure, I noticed that I was not offered any specific services like the other customers sitting around me, rather my feet were placed in cold water and only after I asked for the water to be adjusted did I begin to look more closely at my nails. They continued to make jokes about the poor service I received. In the end, the services provided for my feet and toenails came out fine. Shortly after my pedicure, I was approached by the woman who originally did my nails. She told me that I messed the polish up. There was another customer sitting next to me, so I was mindful not to make her uncomfortable about the service she would soon receive. I was told the salon was “busy”. I told them I would wait. The guy who did my pedicure returned and said he would fix my nails. During this process, the original nail technician returned again & grabbed my hands, I pulled my hands away and firmly told her to please stop grabbing me and someone else would fix my nails. While getting them done, I noticed the technicians in the salon continued to talk about me amongst themselves – pointing and making jokes. I noticed that two of the technicians stopped working and pulled out towels around where I was sitting and gestured for another person to stand by the door (which seemed kind of strange since they just told me they were so busy). One of the guys folding a towel said something else to a much larger women in the salon and with that she replied, “please I got you” and they both proceeded to laugh.
Always professional, great service, and easy to find colors you love! Everyone does a wonderful job no matter what nail tech you go to!
The way she continued to argue with me and refuse to get a second opinion on her work was disrespectful unprofessional, and distasteful. I go to the counter to pay her. She says if you don't like the job you don't have to pay. I offered to tip as I had paid for the last bad job she did on my brows. She still fussing and lying as if she didn't mess my brows up. I say to her are you done??? I will never use their services again.
Very rude!! Dude at the front desk was very rude!! Refuse to make eye contact it was very rude to my daughter who was only 9 and it was her first time getting her nails done. I told him it was her first time getting her nails done and she would like to have a good experience and he was so nonchalant and rude about doing her nails and the Polish came with the next day. They're very unprofessional there I see why it's empty
I had appointment for pedi/mani. When I walked in somebody hollered at me from their station "what do you want". I told him I had a 2 o'clock Apptmt. He then asked for what. He told me to go to the other room. I did and waited quite a while. Finally a guy who was going from person to person helping came and began doing my pedicure. It took a full hour. He didn't cut my toenails hardly at all. I asked him to please cut them a little shorter. He did. He didn't do all the steps they usually do. I've been going there for 8 years and they have always had very well trained nail specialists. Not any more. This is the second time I've noticed no continuity of their employees. Won't be going back there again.
I wish I would've read the reviews before I wasted my money. The atmosphere was more than drab, the people were not friendly at all!!! I didn't feel welcome, the guy that did my nails did an awful job. He didn't even remove all of the old color before applying new acrylic to my nails. He didn't clean or moisturize my nails after he finished. I only came here because it was convenient, but I'd rather drive farther away for a better experience than to ever step foot in there again.
This is the best nail salon ever I have been going to them for 5 years and will not go anywhere else! Melissa does awesome nails and pedicures I am very iffy about who touches my nails and she is the only one who does my nails exactly the way I like them they look perfect! Everyone does great work on mani/pedis HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!
So, so rude! Told a customer that came 5 minutes late because of traffic to go somewhere else because she took a different customer in. I came in for eyebrows and while waiting in the lobby I heard them yell "Hey eyebrows, room 3" My name is eyebrows and at least dont yell at me across the room like that. Terrible service.
