We have moved to a larger new suite in the expanded Helen F. Graham Cancer Center We are proud to announce the addition of our 8th physician. CANCER Our board-certified physicians in Hematology and Oncology, have trained and held faculty positions in nationally and internationally recognized academic centers. Our physicians have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant disorders of the blood and solid organs such as leukemia, lymphomas, and breast cancer. We are major contributors to National Cancer Institute sponsored clinical trials. BLOOD DISORDERS Our physicians have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the bone marrow ("blood count factory"), excessive bleeding tendencies (bleeding disorders such as hemophilia), and excessive blood clotting (thrombosis). Our physicians have organized and directed nationally and locally funded hemophilia programs, participated in clinical trials for the treatment and prevention of thrombosis, and have conducted basic research in understanding how blood coagulation factors (ingredients) function. TRANSFUSION MEDICINE Our physicians have expertise in the use of and risks of blood transfusion and therapeutic pheresis [blood component extraction for treatment purposes].         Overall

        Dr. Guarino picked up my case post surgery. He is the best oncologist on the East Coast! His bedside manner is reassuring and he is very thorough. I was blessed when Dr. Guarino took me on as a post surgical Melanoma survivor, five years cancer free on 4/30/2015...thanks to Dr. Guarino's guidance.
