Cindy Newton is an extraordinary physical therapist. She treats my elderly mother, who has balance problems, difficulty walking and a history of falls. My mother's had several physical therapists over a decade, and almost all have been excellent, but Cindy is truly in a league of her own. The foremost thing that sets Cindy apart is that she is ambitious for my mother. She doesn't just work on strength, or on getting her used to canes and walkers. She concentrates on getting my mother to her maximum potential, to achieving well-adjusted gait and on properly balanced movement. She is attentive to the smallest details. With her, my mother has made remarkable improvement--she's walking better than she has in years. I watch in amazement and joy.Cindy is very intelligent and applies her clearly superb multi-disciplinary training to create what I believe might be an approach that is unique to her. She is also kind, gentle, respectful, but tough enough to motivate. My mother adores her, and so do I. She's a light that turned on in our lives.
I've been working out here for about a month and a half now. I am overweight and have way too much body fat. Well, I am really pleased with the progress I have made so far. I've already lost 9 pounds and reduced my jeans size from a 38 inch waist to a 36 inch waist. They made me completely at ease from the moment we started. They tailored the workouts exactly to my needs and problems. The workouts are all different, which makes them interesting and fun.
I've trained with different personal trainers in New York over the years. You know their drill - one size fits all clients, 3 different routines rotated every third session. Boring and not. But the trainers at HBPT change exercises every session.
