Having been very familiar with Itsu in the UK, I was excited to hear that they were opening a restaurant in the US. It is exactly what we need in terms of fresh and healthy grab and go sushi, from a company that has a clear focus on quality, service and ethical matters surrounding meat consumption.I have visited multiple times already and have had fantastic experiences on every occasion. Itsu has a vast selection of dishes for a restaurant that manages to maintain a boutique feel and very personal service. Having tried various items across the menu including sushi, dumplings and hot dishes, I have found all to be full of fresh and healthy ingredients - They look as good as they taste, and manage to be both light and filling. Will certainly recommend and return!
I could not ask anything more about Gramercy. I heard so much about them and they prove me right. The best fine dining restaurant in town. I could not say anything bad about the food and the service. But one thing I have learned, is you have to book in advance.
Doc Watson's is one of the most popular gathering places for residents of the Upper East Side. The restaurant is the perfect blend of an Irish pub and American dining. Live music and an outdoor dining area make eating at Doc Watson's a unique experience. The menu is full of fresh salads, sandwiches, entrees and more. The delicious Irish Breakfast is served all day, and it includes bacon, Irish sausage, eggs, black and white pudding, baked beans and a grilled tomato. If you are not in the mood for Irish food, the burgers, which are all made with grass fed beef, are fabulous.
Food was tasty and really creative and interesting. Nice ambiance, not too loud, service was attentive but not overbearing.
This place is the worst of the worst. First off, after the server set us the manager was rushing us to order stating they were busy even though there were many empty spots. After we started eating the manager with the glasses that was wearing a black zip up sweater asked us to move to make room for other customers that arrived 40 minutes afterwards. I explained to him another person is coming like I previously stated in about 5 minutes and we are alreading eating. He stated that did not matter and we need to move for other customers. I explained to him we were here first and he already sat us so why do we have to move? He was irritated and later on when I talked with the servers they apologized and when I asked the manager about this issue he did not seem apologetic at all. He did not ask any other customers to move but just our table. This is the first time in my life where I felt wronged and there was slight prejudice because we were the only Asian table at the time. My Korean is not perfect because I am American and he kept on arguing with me in Korean and I asked him his reasoning and he stated he did not speak English well so he had every right to degrade customers in his language. Then he asked, "Are you unhappy because you do not want to pay for the food?" I was appalled that he would ask such a question because I was more than willing to pay for the food. I just didn't like his attitude and I asked for a simple apology because he asked what would relieve the situation. Then he stated, "You are not above me why do I have to apologize and I do not want to disclose my name. I do not need to explain myself to any customers and it doesn't matter to me if you are upset or not." He knew I was going to write a bad review and that's why he seemed afraid to disclose who he was because we wanted to talk to the owner after his rude behavior. He also stated, "Well we would normally make you wait to be seated if everyone has not arrived." However, they already sat us and seemed very eager in wanting us to order from the menu for their business revenue. Next he stated, "I do not need to explain myself to you and let's end this conversation." He acted this way even though clearly I was upset as a customer and the last thing he stated was, "I think you are acting this way because you are drunk." First of all, I wad not drunk. I had one beer and when I asked him the reasoning behind my upset demeanor he just stated more degrading language and treated customers horribly. This is the worst restaurant experience I ever had just because of how rude the manager was. I cannot believe some of the comments he stated and my husband and my friend were extremely upset at the whole situation as well. Beware of this place because the manager is only nice to others and if you seem Korean in anyway he treats those customers in a very disrespectful way from his comments, demeanor, and the raising his voice. He never stated one apology because that was all I wanted and I paid for the food and everything. Only the servers were apologetic but even at the end of this whole experience no apology was ever said by the manager even after his rude request to his degrading comments towards me.
Stopped in for a late night snack, me and a friend. A quick u- turn sent us slipping into a nearby parking space sliding into a blissful nighttime bite. Memorable and delicious.
Ramen Co ramen is delicious and makes a great brunch. Ramen Co have more octopus meat than other restaurants and the service is quick and friendly.
Great decor, great coffee... They have 3 main options for you:espresso, drip and pour-over. We had Columbian pour over which was nutty and refreshing and their morning Jose which was also great. Union Square Cafe is best
Great coffee, great customer service, cozy with thoughtfully designed interior. And no wi-fi! So people actually converse, instead of simply staring at their laptops.Buster's Cafe is best
I had such high hopes for my first time at a Hard Rock Cafe, but I think this location doesn’t handle being swamped very well. I went here with my family, and the poor waitress couldn’t get our orders straight. I could tell she was swamped with tables so I didn’t make a fuss, but when I got the bill and noticed that she overcharged me for a substitution, I asked her about it. That’s when she hurriedly tried to explain it away as an unfortunate price hike due to my choice of substitution. When I explained that I would’ve just stayed with the original side if I knew it was going to cost so much more, she shrugged her shoulders and said she was sorry she forgot to mention it. The whole experience just left me feeling *meh* about ever going back to this location.
