I was given a room that I was told was suitable for three adults with two toddlers. Upon entering, we were shocked at how small it was, as I had to squeeze between a bed and the sofa. The convertible sofa was intended to serve as my bed It had a convertible sofa that had no springs left, so we were left to crowd the five of us onto two queen size beds. The closet sized bathroom could not possible fit two individuals at once, so bathing the boys was a real challenge. When I brought up these issues with the manager on day 2, he said he would look into it. I never heard again from him during our five day stay. One day we had some left over pizza in our room, but no place to throw it away. So we piled some other garbage on top of it in hope of housekeeping to dispose of it. On our return about twelve hours later, all of the garbage was sitting on the table where we left it... and the room reeked! One evening I asked a friend to meet me in the bar for a beer. This being a college "club", I expected the environment to be high spirited and cheerful. Instead, it was cold and dark, and the bar tender never once made eye contact with either of us.Breakfast was a buffet run by some pretty friendly people, but it was identical day after day. By day 3, the family refused to eat it.About the only highlight was the doorman. Very helpful and friendly.I was surprised when I returned home to realize that the club (that I had just joined so that I might try out the accommodations) had billed me for an entire year's membership, plus "initiation" fee.... together $1200... in addition to $2100. for my five nights. $3300. for five nights in a dark and very cramped hotel with awful service. That's extremely disappointing.
:-( Kids are supposed to be learning chess, not playing video games on computers. As for activities, there are better places.
Good stuff. I hadn't been here for years and was dying at the talent showcase the other day, I will definitely be back next month to see Joey Diaz.
I am beyond livid at this moment. This summer I was selected for SYEP. I was placed to work for Chinatown Partnership. On Monday, June 27th, I was interviewed and I told the office manager that I would prefer to only work Friday-Sunday. He said that that was fine and that he would email me by the end of the week (July 4th weekend). Needless to say, I never received any emails from him. On Tuesday, July 5th, I took the initiative to email him about my work schedule. He responded 3 hours later and told me to report to work the next day (Wednesday, July 6th). Then, I proceeded to email him an hour later about my availability that I had mention during the interview. He never responded to that email. On Thursday, July 7th I decided to call him and he told me that they can't accommodate to my availability and to look for a new workplace. He didn't even have the decency to answer my email and only told me that when I CALLED him. Very unprofessional! I hope the government stops funding them.
We went with our timeshare and it was a very pleasurable experience. Clean room, clean bathroom, comfortable mattress, nice and helpful people at the front desk, main entrance and concierge areas. Blocks away from Central Park and Times Square. Hundreds of restaurants to choose from. We will be back
I love these guys. They are very helpful and the customer care they are showing is beyond expectation. There is no other grocery store I would shop but here.
Tourist Trap!!!! Vindictive chef! I ordered the steak salas medium rare and received hockey puck well done beef. Waitress took it back. Next version was 9 pieces of gristle with greens sauteed. Take the children to a hotdog vendor and a Cinderella matinees instead.
