The couple that owns this fantastic halal cart are the nicest people I have ever met in my life!!!!! The food is always fantastic with a wide range of dishes to choose from, that other carts in the city just do not have, this cart is the place to go when you are looking for the best halal food in the mid town Bryant park area I work a few blocks away and I find myself always walking the extra few blocks to eat from this cart passing over 15 on my way to see them. The prices are the most reasonable out of all the carts in the area. I suggest you give them the opportunity to make your lunch They are located on 44th and 6th ave right infront of the TD bank
The serving portions are amazing and if you're looking for authentic Dominican food in Washington Heights then this is it. The best time to stop by would undoubtedly be afternoon versus evening, because that's when the place gets packed and on Sundays? Forget about it. The roasted chicken is phenomenal and the sweet plantains are some of the best I've tasted in the area. Definitely a go-to spot if you're in the area for Dominican fare. Good food, friendly staff and don't forget to save room for the mango milkshakes (and you'll definitely be bringing a doggy bag home with you too!)
I love this place, I go often and never had a problem. On ocassion especially on the Music nights it can get a bit loud but the food is amazing. I recomend you try the pork shoulder. I have had countless business dinners in this resturant even when it has been super loud they were all sucessful. In fact I inked a huge deal at Sofrito because they loved the ambiance. I would recomend the Pork Shoulder or the Fish. Love it! Their Mojito lacks a bit of alcohol though.
Believe it or not, watching TV tonight on how knishes was made, up popped Yonah's Bakery. Sir I'll have you know, that when I was hungry, you fed me. I ran away from home at 16 in 1961, I think that was the year, and I lived on your knishes. and slices of pizza on 42nd street. I LOVE knishes, haven't had one since 16. would love to make some. Thank you for being there for me. Hadn't thought about them in years. so filling esp for a hungry kid God Bless You
The staff here are extremely friendly, efficient and caring. You will have the most remarkable night. If you need a personal touch on your special event or night. Book your reservation and you and your group will have the best time. The staff and the service is top notch and the place is absolutely beautiful. The atmoshpere is very good and nice lighting, a great crowd of party goers and the Djs are awesome.
Cupcakes: sure you can get them everywhere, and your homemade versions are probably more delicious, but how about those funky flavors you see on Pinterest and cooking shows: who ha stone to make all of those flavors at once just to try one? That's why you come here. Ordered a six pack to go, total variety: my favorite were the Twinkie and Choc Banana. But we ate all the others too, nothing went to waste.
The double stack is amazing it's like the perfect combination of Portabella goodness cheese and a juicy burger. The fries are equally tasty and fresh. Surprisingly I think I've only had a shake one time there but I'm pretty sure it was Peanut butter and chocolate and with those two flavors can't really go wrong. This is definitely a family favorite.
I live in the area and went to Coogans twice once for brunch and once for lunch. For lunch I had one of their burgers which was absolutely delicious and perfect. for brunch I ordered a steak roasted vegetables and although the steak was cooked wrong the server went back to the kitchen two times until my order was perfect.
Some of the best places I've ever been. Next to West side Highway, located fairly visible to the front of the street (and I think there was a bank on the other side). Place is clean, prices are fair, and the service is nice. The food could have been better, but the overall impression the place left me was positive...
