We stumbled across this restaurant and decided to try it. There are literally a dozen Indian restaurants on this block, and I'm glad we picked this one. The food was spectacular - I had the vegetable samosa, nav-rattan korma and onion kulcha, along with the Mulligatawny soup, which was especially tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. My only complaint was that the music coming from the TV was a bit loud. I would happily eat here again.
This restaurant is geared toward international businesspersons. Great space, attentive service, high prices. My lobster tails were barely visible on the plate and burnt at the ends. No garnishes to pretty up this sad sight. Puddings were good but cloyingly sweet. I recommend dining in Curry Hill instead. My share of dinner and two drinks with tip was $75 and I went away hungry.
I just brought a party of 21 people to Baluchis to have dinner before Handels Messiah at Carnegie Hall. We only had an hour so the help was very accomodating and took our order promptly and we had our dinners in short order. The food was good but the portions were quite small. Everyone in our group felt the same way. You left the restaurant feeling cheated and hungry.
THE BEST. We randomly stumbled upon this restaurant and it was the best accident ever. We highly enjoyed the service and food, and the atmosphere was perfect. We had wine, appetizers, and entrees for a great price..(wine was only $5 a glass!!)! Definitely recommend and will go again. Everyone there was so nice and really cared. It's gluten-free friendly too!
Really nice food. Liked the ambience as well. The food is authentic and tasty. The service is not bad either - but then I have never been here on weekends. I highly recommend this place for the food. The ambience is not bad either - there is usually a long wait during lunch especially in the summer. Visited again and liked it.
Darbar NY is fine indian cuisine in New York for best catering services. They provide catering services for weddings, parties and corporate meetings. They have all varieties of indian food and the taste and the ambiance is very nice. I would recommend all Indians to try this restaurant.
I have always bad experience with indian food but then one day my friends said let's try bombay garden I wasn't to keen on that idea but long story short it was the best the service was wonderful the food was amazing and best part it didn't hurt my pocket too much !!!

food is really good. authentic dhaba food. not too spicy to scare whites and at the same time not too low on spice level. perfect. wish the place has more breathing space
I like the food and ambiance.. but there is a minimum charge of 15.95 person . when I order just the starter he insisted to order something to make minimum. minimmum
