I've been a customer of UWS Pildes for 35 years now. They are the best!!! Excellent customer service, consummate professionals in eye care, the most pleasant and personable staff. I never leave without the perfect pair of specs and have not had one bad experience. Run, don't walk to Pildes Optical. You will not regret the decision.
I highly recommend Studio Optix. All the Doctors are excellent, knowledgeable, patient and kind. The front of house staff are outstanding, friendly and helpful. For selecting frames I work with Dawn and/or Sandy who are exceptional in helping to find unique outstanding frames that not only look fabulous but also suit your personality. You are not likely to find another place like this anywhere else in NYC!
Wonderful group of people. Felt like going to an eye doctor in a small town! The examining doctor was very attentive and gave good advice.

I bought a pair of glasses the last day of my NY trip, they've promised me to send them in a couple of days directly to my address. The glasses weren't delivered and they don't even answer to my emails
My experience at this establishment left much to be desired. What I thought was positive was the professionalism of the actual doctors in the office. The doctors have a good bedside manner and make you feel comfortable. They explain everything that is occurring to keep patients at ease. This business has been around for many years and have many loyal clients. However, the staff at the front desk do not seem to understand that loyal customers does not mean that one demeans them. The administrative assistant in charge of insurance issues was rude. As a client, I am giving you my business. I always come in with a positive attitude. When asked about possibilities of second pair of glasses, I was spoken to in a negative tone. In order to be clear, I was honest in saying that I asked the question because I truly didn't know the protocol and was responded with "That's why I'm telling you". The staff sticks together and would not see my side of the story. The manner in which I was approached when expressing my dislike was not professional. I have heard many complaints about the way the staff talks to people, and I find it my duty to let the public know what is going on. Too bad, this business lost 5 clients with my family.
I can't begin to describe how much I love Village Eyecare. Every time I need to make an appointment to get new contact lenses or have my eyes checked, they quickly work around my schedule and make the whole process very easy. Dr Shiyan is AWESOME! The whole staff is very friendly and professional and I enjoy my visits. Thank you Village Eyecare
WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!! I’m extremely upset with the new service at this center. My child is been a patient since she started to use glasses in 4th grade, she is now in high school, her glasses needed to be changed, she has them for the past 2 years, and literally she ‘can’t see with them no more’, they broke and I had to use crazy glue in for her to go to school every day. Explained all this to the not so nice guy at the front desk, told him I have an appointment for the 29th but she needs attention and he said the Dr will not see her, He did not even try to take my # to see if anyone cancel, or to explain the situation to my child’s Dr.(according to him, he could get in trouble with the Dr. for passing on this message), or to let me speak with the Dr. He said that if was so urgent for me to take her to the ER!!!!!As I said WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!
