Doc Watson's is one of the most popular gathering places for residents of the Upper East Side. The restaurant is the perfect blend of an Irish pub and American dining. Live music and an outdoor dining area make eating at Doc Watson's a unique experience. The menu is full of fresh salads, sandwiches, entrees and more. The delicious Irish Breakfast is served all day, and it includes bacon, Irish sausage, eggs, black and white pudding, baked beans and a grilled tomato. If you are not in the mood for Irish food, the burgers, which are all made with grass fed beef, are fabulous.
I had such high hopes for my first time at a Hard Rock Cafe, but I think this location doesn’t handle being swamped very well. I went here with my family, and the poor waitress couldn’t get our orders straight. I could tell she was swamped with tables so I didn’t make a fuss, but when I got the bill and noticed that she overcharged me for a substitution, I asked her about it. That’s when she hurriedly tried to explain it away as an unfortunate price hike due to my choice of substitution. When I explained that I would’ve just stayed with the original side if I knew it was going to cost so much more, she shrugged her shoulders and said she was sorry she forgot to mention it. The whole experience just left me feeling *meh* about ever going back to this location.
The games are nice for kids, but be aware it does get pretty crowded. Also the tickets won’t get you much, so go in knowing that you’re really paying for the experience and not the prize. The food is subpar junk food, and the wait is horrible—I had it once and it was a long wait for cold and dreadful food. The price to play is pretty steep if you want to stay long enough to actually have fun, so I would split the price with a group.
The food is usually very here. The service is good but occasionally you will get an errant server who just doesn't care unfortunately. Always crowded during dinner service. Go early or late.
Food was overpriced in my opinion and not very good. Burger was not great and the fries were terrible in my opinion. Could have done a lot better for $17. The milk shake tasted like chocolate milk with ice blended.
All I can say is "Wow" the food was so delicious! The service was great and I have never tasted soul this flavorful in a long time. I am so glad that we stopped by and I will most certainly revisit them again when I am in town.
Beautiful restaurant in Lower East Side serving delicious gluten-free food for brunch and dinner. Allergy friendly! Good service! Nice selection of wine and beer. Good for families, big groups, dates and private events.
Visiting the other location for breakfast today. Excellent. Best part was the polenta with the pomodoro sauce.
Had a quick bite to eat before watching a show. Great location to theaters and fast service. Food was ok. Burger-asked for medium rare cane out medium well.
Best activity so far. $15 for an hour rowing in Central Park! Views, relaxation. And a little workout.
