We celebrated our son's birthday with a few of his friends and had a terrific time. The server was extremely attentive, the food was excellent, and while it is not inexpensive, for the quality of the food and experience, it was well worth it. I highly recommend it.

I moved to Murray Hill last year and found this gem of a restaurant just from living on 31st and Lex. The food is amazing and really well-priced. Don't just go off of the menu online because the real menu is in the waiter?s head as a part of their specials. I love the pine nut crusted sea bass. The caprese (tomato, mozzarella and basil salad) is delicious - almost as good as a dish you?d receive in Rome. The portions are reasonable but not huge. The wait staff is attentive and friendly and very authentic Italian. It's a little piece of Italian heaven in Murray Hill.
Only minor complaint is that I didn't really love the white wines by the glass, but that might be because I am not that familiar with Pinot Grigio. I?m a California Chardonnay kind of girl. The wine list by the bottle is outstanding. Note: the restaurant does not have a full bar if you want a spirit drink.
If you're looking for a break from over priced food and especially if you live near 31st and Lex, I highly recommend you try this phenomenal little restaurant!

I stop by Belvedere every 4 months even though I hate repeating dinner places in this city of 5,000 restaurants. Why do I come back? This place has a friendly atmosphere, good service, great food, at reasonable prices. Belvedere is the kind of place you can go on a romantic date or just sit with a friend and talk for 3 hours over a bottle of wine, a good meal and very good desserts. Belvedere usually has more than 5 specials each night and the tiramisu is fantastic (especially with an after dinner drink).

I recently visited this fine establishment on a Saturday nite and to my surprise, I had a great time! The food was out of this world, wine was decent (not really a wine drinker but good enough for me), service was fine at the beginning. After our main entrees were served, we were totally ignored for the rest of the night. It seems the two or three waiters they had tended to the ""large"" parties that were there (hint-more money) then to couples like us. The prices were reasonable, food was unbelievable (portions could of been a little bigger for my taste), service was okay until the end. I had to flag down the bus boy for extra water, desert and the check. Will definitely go back for seconds but if the service lacks off again, then I probably won't return.

This little italian hideout is amazing. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. The service was exceptional, they were attentive without being overbearing. I had the lobster ravioli (a special for the night) and my friend had the gnocchi, both were amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great italian food!

I went here on a double date and it was perfect. Cozy atmosphere, but you don't feel cramped. Food was yummy and the service was great. We asked the waiter for a wine recommendation, and he actually recommended the most inexpensive one which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. Can't get honest service like that anywhere. And, we even got a complimentary tirimisu at the end! We're definitely going back!

My Husband and I visit this resteraunt every Valentines Day for the past 4 years. They have a spectacular pre-fixed menu for the evening, with more food then a wedding! The owner/maiter 'D/sometimes chef is the sweetest Italian man. The atmosphere is very charming. Prices are great and food is very good. We can not forget the Red Rose they give to the ladies on Valentines Day. All year round this place is a hidden treasure in Murray Hill.

I came here because it looked like a charming place, and it had received some good reviews. Unfortunately, I left without being particularly satisfied. The host was certainly friendly enough, and judging from the entrance of other diners, there seemed to be many happy regulars.
As for myself, I found the atmosphere cute, although for a quiet evening, being on Lexington Avenue may not be the best idea. The food was standard, and not amazing. As for the service, the staff is friendly, but my water glass was refilled only once, and then left empty for 45 minutes, and not refilled again. The place wasn't crowded, so I really can't understand this. As I looked at some of the regulars having a good time, I did consider giving this place a second chance; however, with so many wonderful restaurants in New York City, it is just not worth it.

A colleague took me to her favorite little Italian restaurant and made me an instant convert. The menu is amazing but their specials are inspired. Their attention to quality and detail will make this your favorite place before you've finished your first course. They have a garden and I am just waiting for cool summer nights to take advantage of it. As a native NY-er take it from me, a better staff or dining experience you will not find in NYC.
