Leaving a review to say how unhelpful and stupid all the employees are in this store! Omg there is three or four employees in a group every 5 feet and not one of these workers will even ask if you need help and when you ask them for help they send you to other people to help that are no where to be found, so unhelpful and dumb they need to do there job.

I am a fairly reasonable person. Most would argue that I give stores, customer service agents, etc. the benefit of the doubt too often. I also try to praise indivicuals and service whenever possible so please excuse the rant, but people should be aware of the level of service they can expect at Home Depot on the East Side of Manhattan.
After FOUR days, a trip to the Home Depot, hours on the phone and setting up a product transfer for the item we ordered from the 23rd street store ON OUR OWN because the 3rd Avenue store didn't have even close to the number in stock they claimed to have at the time of payment and would not make the transfer themselves, our items still have not been delivered. The novel part is you must constantly follow up. When a deilvery is not going to be made, even if they know that morning, there is no phone call placed to the customer, no indication that you will not receive your product in the 3-4 hour window originally set in place. The same person is never working so the story must be explained countless times, they make it impossible to refund the delivery charges or items purchased and customer service is instantly defensive. We spoke with one helpful, competent individual throughout the entire ordeal and even she was unable to convince the store managers, delivery department, or anyone else to provide assitance. It makes much more sense to borrow a car from someone, or take a cab or two and bring the items you purchase home yourself. Even better, simply do not shop at this Home Depot. Everything is much more an inconvience than it warrants and I do not recommend wasting your time.

DO NOT shop here. We are in the midst of absolute hell just trying to get an order delivered. Not only did they not deliver when they said they would, but they won't return any phone calls (left 4 messages) and you can't get a live person. Sure, they'll take your money, but don't expect any decent level of customer service. An absolute nightmare. I have taken two days off from work and NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!
Also, when i called the customer complaint dept....they hung up on me.
Go to Loews!!!
