If you're a dude, be prepared for a long wait for the bathroom. One at a time here so the line often backs up by 10 or more people. Terrible design. This place should be ashamed of itself.
Music is so-so, no real room to dance and on Friday, when I was there, they closed the outdoor area by 11. Not sure why but it brought too many people indoors.
I will never go back here.

My Girlfriend had her birthday party here recently and the staff were great, friendly and attentive they really looked after us.We have been here a couple of times previous and always found this place to be to be a fun neighbourhood hangout.A roomy SoHo hotspot the crowd generally speaking are fashion/art type followed by NYC''s trust fund kids.My description of the crowd would be a nice mix of good looking/stylish and trendy Soho types meeting for after work drinks or just to hangout. We have always enjoyed coming here and I recommend this bar to anyone who is looking for a laidback comfortable place to hang out with the right kind of people

This bar is fine, good atmosphere, nice back deck. Stay away from planning a party here. I made that mistake and it was a disaster. After weeks of planning, contracts, etc...when party time comes, the people working there had no idea we had a private party planned. They had already taken reservations for the whole night, they were extremely rude about it, non-apologetic, the bar was already filling up with patrons and we were practically left to fend for ourselves. Needless to say, we were not charged the full amount as stated in our contract and the back deck was eventually cleared out for our use. If you're looking for a cocktail in Nolita then this place will suite you bc thats all they seem able to handle.

From the name of the bar, you would think this was a hip, rock & roll, fun, loud, crazy place. The place itself is spacious and has an interesting look. I didn't get a chance to check out the garden because before I even went INSIDE the bar, I wanted to leave.
The bouncer outside was not friendly, whatsoever. Then, I walk in and I immediately feel like I've walked into an Upper East Side bar. EW.

You be the judge. I was having a nice time at sweet and vicious on Sat. 07/14. I hung out on their patio with friends for over 3 hours ordering drinks at regular intervals. 10 minutes before midnight they flash the lights and ask me to leave the patio immediately. I agree to leave. 30 seconds later they bring me the last drink they let me order even though they were about to close along with my credit card that they decided to charge without permission even though it was just their to hold the tab. I decided to not make the credit card thing a big deal and just roll with it. However, 30 seconds after I signed the credit card slip the bouncer decided to throw us out of the patio. We were NOT being loud and we agreed to leave as soon as we settled our tab between us (necessary because they ran our credit card without permission). We got up and asked the manager why he didn't give us more warning. He said ""We don't have to give you warning. We've been in business for 11 years. You want us to lose our license because of you (Still a full 5 minutes before midnight). Go to another bar if you don't like the way we treated you."" We did. Bottom line: Sweet & Vicious doesn't need your business. We won't go there again. You shouldn't either.

Not too bad really, it does get absurdly packed later on though and then the service turns quite poor and so on. the lighting is good and the crowd is usually pretty attractive. i'd say it's best on a thursday night for crowd density, service, and atmosphere.

while the venue was nice with a great outdoor space, we had one of the worst waitresses who gave me the wrong amount of change, assumed i hadn't tipped when i had, then proceeded to lecture me with a bit about how ""we don't provide service without tip."" that left me incredulous. will never return.

Not much inside other than benches and open space. The place got pretty crowed around 1230 but then thinned out quick. Music was interesting, must have been from a juke box cause they were playin old police one second and then everybody dance now the next.
Stay away from the liquor, they put nothing in the drinks....stick to the 5 buck pints of guinesse or bass.

This place is good if you want to hang out in a really nice garden with lots of ambiance (the indoor area is okay too). I went with a group of about 12 people on a saturday night, the bar quickly got crowded right after we got there. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, she let us bring in bags of chips and salsa from the bodega down the street and even brought us a bowl for our salsa! I would definitely go back for the garden and the service, and the drinks are decent and fairly priced too.

Was there Friday night for a birthday party in the garden. Jaime the waitress was great despite the rapid requests from a group of 25-30. Left after they closed the garden and forced us inside because it was way too crowded. Good spot to start the evening before 12 but after that expect to fight the crowd.

This place is mediocre at best. Hardly any buybacks. The manager is lame. The crowd has sunk to a new low with the cattle of former sorority girls/frat boys trampling through. The garden is okay, but who cares when there's no scene to be had. This place is a perfect home for the tubby boyz and girlz of the Upper East Side. Plus they hassle you if you bring in pizza from Pomodoro's!

I like this place. More of a neighborhood feel. Great chill music not too loud, however the sound sysem could use a speaker upgrade. Garden out back closes early to not bug the residents. Make this a stop on your next subway crawl. Always a few cute ladies.
