I have been going to Vasili's for quite some time, almost 10 years, he has been in business way before that. He service is beyond professional, I have never had my shoes repaired in such a way, it makes those other shoe places look like something out of a ""Toys R Us"" store, striaght garbage, this place does not make keys like those other worthless shoe repairs, for those making negative comments, you are by-far lost and anyone knows Vasili's is the only place on Broadway and Off-Broadway and NYC to go to.....................thats a fact.

i will never take my shoes to this place ever again. the man behind the desk who i assume owns the place is incredibly rude and condescending. he overcharges and provided subpar work on a simple re-heel of my shoes.
when i asked to see my shoes before i paid, he acted as if i insulted his mother.
i wish i could have given no stars, but we are required to give one star at a minimum. please stay away from this place!!!

worst shoe place i have ever been too! The employees are NASTY! They ruined my brand new shoes after telling me they could no problem be dyed the color I wanted! The owner is completely rude & has no respect for anyone! Never Go Here, This place needs to go out of business!

I've gone here a few times for basic work....new heels...that kinda thing. Can't say I've ever had a problem but yeah, gotta agree with the others that the owner is a bit off-putting. One time I left a pair of shoes for new heels and I asked if they could also ""clean up"" my shoes...you know..give them a professional cleaning while they were at it (I was fully prepared to pay for the cleaning)... He simply said ""NO"". Seemed odd to me that they don't offer professional shoe cleaning, especially since they always have a woman right there at the ready to shine the shoes of local businessmen! But Vasilli is not exactly the kind of guy you argue with. :-)

Sorry to say this, but the man who owns and operates this store is downright nasty! On two separate occasions he has refused to do the work I requested. His attitude is enough to keep me from ever visiting again. I would rather let less talented hands touch my shoes then have to put up with his insults and insistence that I don't know what I'm talking about. (I WORK IN THE SHOE INDUSTRY!) If you don't want to be belittled or brushed off, I suggest you try Vera's or Port Drago's and leave this place alone.

I was told about this place by a friend, WOW incredible work and done extremely fast, I have a problem with one of my feet, the owner took the neccessary steps to accomidate from scratch to finish, received within a week, incredible, for the person leaving negative comment I totally understand why you choose to stay anonymous, your a DONKEY quite simply, you have nothing else to do but make up a false story on how this place has ruined your charles Jordan shoes, on a side note, who even wears Charles Jordan shoes anymore, wasn't that in style like 15yrs ago? how old are you?

I brought a pair of Charles Jordan suede shoes that I bought in Paris into this shop. The Owner did not supervise an untrained or incompetent employee who got repair glue all over one of the shoes. The glue destroyed the nap of the suede in several large spots. The shoes (which I have to show) were in great shape before I brought them to this place where they were ruined. The shoes could not be replaced and the owner refused to compensate me in any way for the damage saying ""people make mistakes"". In my opinion, this is not an honest business that will take resposnsiblity when shoddy, incompetent work is performed. Do not take your shoes here.

I brought in a pair of beat up work shoes that I'd been wearing through all of last winter. The heel tips were worn down to the metal, the leather was scuffed, and the soles were bare. When I brought them in, all I asked were to have the heel tips replaced. Not only did Sam replace them, he went above and beyond and did all this extra work: refinished the black leather (polished it to a shine too), smoothed out the scuffs, and reshaped the soles. All without me specifically asking him, and all for only $6. UNBELIEVABLE.
