Didn’t get the chance to see the movie since ‘my food’ is not allowed there. But saw a women with a bag of outside food passed through, because ‘her food’ is okay.
And when I confronted the staff who let the lady in with outside food. He lied to me right in my face. Being treated so rudely and difficultly.

Good stuff

I really enjoy coming to this movie theater. Easy to buy a tick, always clean, amazing acoustics , and great screens. Great place to watch a movie with friends

Please Stay Away

Picture quality and sound are barely passable but what's really bad is the fact that every ten minutes or so an usher walks around the theater waving a flashlight about and annoying the audience. Cleanliness is not important here either. Skip the popcorn: once I saw a candy stand employee put her hand in the popcorn and snack on some.

Not impressed

I have to say that this has got to be one of the more disgusting theaters I've been in. Have they heard of a mop?

HUGE TAILED ANIMALS THAT DONT BELONG IN A THEATER!

I saw 'Rachel Getting Married' in theater 13 at Regal Union Square Stadium 14 about a month ago. During the film I noticed little creatures scurrying in the aisles. I asked my boyfriend to move (we were sitting on the bottom). We climbed up the steps and I sat next to the wall. After the film ended and the lights came on a huge creature (they dont let you say the R word on here) ran across the wall (spider-man style) right next to my face and I screamed and jumped up. . I reported the incident to the h department. A huge chain movie theater CAN and SHOULD clean u their act.

Used to be great, has gone downhill

When this theater opened, it seemed like the wave of the future with stadium seating and good sightlines. Unfortunately, in recent years, the air conditioning has grown increasingly spotty, the ushers can be rude and the insane crowds pretty much guarantee that this isn't going to be a pleasant movie experience.

Great Theater but a zoo

Living in the neighborhood, I was pleased that a state-of-the-art mutli-screen was nearby. Unfortunatley, UA pushes the popcorn and commercials to the point that the experience is more of an amusement park and zoo then it is a place to watch smaller movies. We should all BOYCOTT theaters that run commercials, no matter how they dress up the cars and Sony Play Stations, commercials are an insult to customers who pay $10.00 for a ticket. Run short films.

Great theater, Lousy Concessions.

Super theater... All the modern conveniences, good screens, great seating. Recliners and cup holders all around. The concessions are staffed by idiots. Cashier was rude. I ordered a diet coke and ended up with a regular sprite.

terrible projection quality

I sat through a packed screening here and the light intensity of the projector was fading in and out for the whole movie. Incredibly annoying and seriously messed up the overall picture quality. I complained about it afterward to the ""manager"" who looked at me with a blank stare. What was most incredible is that it did not seem to bother people, who seem perfectly content to be subjected to sub-standard projection almost everywhere I go. I can't believe that whoever is responsible for projection in these mutiplexes doesn't have enough INTEREST in their collective jobs to CARE about the quality of the image. It infuriates me more and more as I get older.

Better than most, by no means the best.

As the first stadium-seating theater in NYC, this was a new world for NYC multiplexes. Before, they were usually dank, dirty shoeboxes, crammed into whatever space could be found. This is still a decent place to see movies. They have plenty of showtimes of the current hit, the screens are fairly large (if too high off the ground), and the seats are comfortable. Sound is usually good, and there are 2 THX houses, a rarity. It's starting to show it's age...the place isn't very clean, and the employees are rude. Concessions are expensive (and the popcorn is never fresh), and if you're not early, you'll likely find yourself sitting in the awful non-stadium seats. The crowd is awful, and if you don't know where you're going, good luck. Still, this is an above average place to see movies, and at one block away from Union Square, likely the most convenient.
