I have been going here for over 7 years now and can honestly say that this is the best barber I have ever used. Dina takes his time, is thorough and is also a lot of fun to talk to while he cuts your hair. The salon itself doesn't offer much in terms of style or ambiance but that's not why you're coming here anyway. This is an old school, quiality cut and conversion type barber shop that I haven't found elsewhere in Manhattan.

I usually only read reviews I just got back to my office from the Premium Barber shop and immediately got on here to write a review...yes it was that good of an experience. Not only did Uriel (I hope I spelled that correctly) who is also the owner do an amazing job at cutting my hair correctly, he also took such a fine notice to detail.. I usually pay anywhere from $25-$30 at a salon style place so I was hesitant to go to a ""barber shop"" but don't let the name fool you. He cut my hair better than any salon style hair cuttery ever has. I am very particular about my hair and with service in general, so this was a double A+ to me. Like I said, I never write reviews due to a lack of time usually, but this one needed to be written. I plan on going back for every cut.
I came here one day after work having read some other great reviews on Google Maps and have been coming back ever since.
Great staff - I've had my haircut by several of the barbers and it has always turned out well.
Easy to get to from work in midtown and always fast service. Highly recommended.
Don't forget - Always ask for the shave after your haircut.

have been getting my haircut by my house in the Bronx since I was 12, but this time I finally decided to try somewhere new. At this place, I got the best haircut I have ever revived. Highly professional and very good at what they do. I heard one of the stylist mention she had been cutting hair for 19 years. I got my haircut by Uri, he was awesome and knew exactly what I wanted. usually I have a problem explaining what I want, but with very few words he was cutting away and got it just right.

Premium barber shop is an extremely nice , upscale barber shop. The decor is awesome, and really makes you feel nice when going to get your ears lowered. Great design and layout, leather couches in the waiting area, and good music playing throughout the shop. About 5 barbers on ...""

This is a good place to get your hair trimmed if you are in a hurry. They have a full staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. The wait time is next to nothing, and they cater to everyone including small children. They have the best prices in town, and if you need to pick up a few groceries while your husband gets his hair cut, it is in a shopping center right next to a store.

quick and reasonably priced After being used to spending nearly an hour waiting for a cut at my previous barber, it was a pleasure to walk into Premium one Saturday and find Five guys hard at work serving customers. Although there were two others waiting already, I was in and out in less than half an hour--probably closer to 20 minutes. My barber was Yuri himself, and while I found his initial demeanor off-putting--he actually said that the haircut I asked for ""makes no sense""--he quickly agreed to do it my way and his attitude improved a bit. The cut was done with lightning speed and acceptable quality, all for a reasonable $16. Recommended.

I have been going to Premium barber shop for several years and have not had one bad haircut. It is by far the best place in town to get a haircut and a shave for a reasonable price. The barbers are young, talented and can deliver on any style or look, but are refreshingly old school. When you walk in the barbers look up and greet you by name. Plenty of magazines and free commentaries on any subject. They also have a talented beautician Lana, who is a top notch professional and whom my daughter loves. You can make an appointment or walk in - either way it is always quick. The place is always clean and the people are friendly, courteous and efficient

I've had a hard time finding a good barber in town. I have simple, short white guy hair that needs a cut every 3-4 weeks, so I'm not looking for a salon or anything fancy. $16, short, if any, wait, and a cut good cut. Atmosphere doesn't mean much to me-- I want to be in and out and get a good cut. Premium is an old school neighborhood barber shop. 'Nuf said. You may also want to check out Buzz, or even The Paul Mitchell Academy, which can be either great or not very good
