Do not get swindled by this company. Stay clear. It have been over a year now and they have not refunded the advance amount of $742 they took from me to move my stuff. Neither did they honor their commitment to deal of moving my goods. Nor do they answer my calls or reply to my mails. They did not even respond to BBB complaint.
They offered a meager $232 for about $4000 worth of lost possessions.
What does it take to lose a queen mattress, queen bed platform, 5 large boxes filled with expensive clothes, ~20 pairs of shoes and electronics? How does one also lose an oversized carseat, a child’s playard, a diaper pail, a vinyl bag with photography lighting equipment, two comforters in bags, two curtain rods, two camping chairs, half a dozen shelves, a folded table and a poster tube? Just ask moving pros, they managed to lose all of the above, constituting a quarter of my small move – a one bedroom apartment minus most of the furniture, which I sold.
Even what they did deliver came almost a month later than their guaranteed delivery time. I have been very patient with them, even went through their lengthy claims process, and after 4-5 months they added insult to injury with their tiny compensation. They don’t care about your hard earned money, nor will they show basic decency with a remotely fair reimbursement.
Whether this egregious loss is from incompetence or dishonesty, this company should not be in the moving business. Michael, Tommy and Ryan will be nice and friendly on the phone, but they won’t find your belongings or even try to compensate you fairly. They will simply misdirect and stall, or ignore you altogether. It really is astounding that a company can “lose” so many possessions and only pay you 60 cents a pound for them.
They even invent a story about extra fees for a shuttle to bring the items from the 18 wheeler that won’t fit in your small street. But of course there is no 18 wheeler, the drivers told me they drove the 26 foot rented budget truck straight from the warehouse to my home. They even tried to give me a few boxes that didn’t belong to me.
My experience with moving pros has been, by far, the worst I have ever had with any company in any industry. I have started the process to officially report them to the better business bureau and other federal agencies.
WORST MOVERS ever (Michael Edward Howard 646-849-3864) was the person who gave me estimate. Moved from Dallas to NY, I was 7 months pregnant under stress of move. I was given estimate of around $3K. Pick up date was 2 days before my flight. Movers did not show up on day they supposed to pick up, they called and said have some truck rental issues so they cannot come and will come next day. Fine - Movers came next day, before loading into truck they started saying estimate is going up, surprisingly it was more than double of initial estimate, no change in inventory for a small 1 bed apartment (we packed boxes & all stuff). Whole thing looked pre planned, these guys ask when is your flight on a friendly note & they come just a day before or same day of flight so you are under stress and have no time to deal with stuff & just agree to whatever amount they quote for. Person who gave us estimate & promised the $ won’t change has’nt come into contact from the day of move. Other person contact from that point onward, and says oh that guy is new he did not know how to quote, we are going to fire him for giving this wrong estimate. ALL THIS IS A SCRIPT THEY PLAY WITH EVERY CUSTOMER.
During drop off, guys were high school kids who can barely lift box. My husband did major work. Movers did not even had a tool box to assemble bed or table. My husband has assembled everything. Finally two boxes were missing, mattress’s have dirt stains, book cases came broken, bed frame had all scratches. Man this was a DISASTROUS MOVE. Tip I can give is there can be little trust for the movers who actually come home look at your stuff & give estimate. I did claim for damaged items with CSI and they settled the claim for $81 which is ridiculous & said if I accept the $ I have no right to write a review about the MOVING PROS, which sounded brutal. I have not taken settlement $ just to write this review.

Do not use this company. We had a horrible experience with them. They underestimated the cost, took forever to pack us up, and then delivered our stuff one day late. It was a disaster. Several boxes went missing and they were extremely unresponsive when trying to get them recovered. We never got them back so I can only assume they were stolen. Avoid this company at all costs. All of our furniture was nicked up and the owners of this business should be ashamed of themselves.
The Worst! Do not use. We used them for a move back in May and totally regret it now. Several of our boxes "went missing" and they didn't seem concerned or to care at all. Once you book with them, they will only return your phone calls if you threaten to use another company. We exhausted our appeal for our missing boxes and I called them 3 times since to discuss and they haven't returned my calls. Much of our furniture was knicked or scratched. In my opinion, they are thieves, unprofessional and should not be used as a moving company.
The moving services I was sold was absoulty not what was provided. I was promised a 26foot box truck to be loaded with my items which would remain in truck until the scheduled unload date. The unethical sales practices are criminal. The company will not refund my deposit. Do not trust Moving Pros Inc.
They are not a moving company at all!!! They will store your stuff for you. I had them lie to me over and over again. They will tell you what you want to hear to get your business. They should be shut down and not a business at all. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy! They are bullies! They never return phone calls. They never knew where my stuff was during the move. They told me I would get reimbursed for all the mistakes they made and then never call me back to discuss reimbursement. I'm still waiting to hear from them. They are liars and thieves!! Do not use this "company"!!!! They are the worst! So unprofessional! A disgrace to actual moving companies. A bunch of our stuff was broken or damaged. I emailed the claims department and still have not heard back from them. I would not give them any stars if possible. Save your money and move your stuff your self!
Moved cross country and they lost over half my move. Terrible customer service, charged extra during the move. Totally unresponsive after my move was lost. Some of my stuff ended up in other states and had to be shipped back by other customers. The worst experience I've ever had with movers.
If I could give them less than one star I would.They quoted us nearly $3,000.The movers showed up 3 hours late in a rental truck.They said it would take 3 hours to pack up our 600sq ft apartment.The "lead" was incredibly rude & barely spoke English.After 3 hours hardly anything had been packed.At this point, just after 5pm on a Friday, the "lead" comes back to us & tells us that the price had changed to $6,000 & they needed 75% of that paid immediately.We asked why the price increase...to which the "lead" replied that we had too much furniture.I told him I'd itemized everything twice with customer service & was given the price of just under $3,000.I called customer service & told them what was going on.He advised that I tell the "lead" to load everything on the truck & we would resolve this later.I hung up & told the "lead" that my contact in customer service said to go ahead & pack everything up.The "lead" responded "Who is that?He's not here.He's not in the boss.I'm the boss." I tried to call customer service back...they were closed.He refused to put anything further on the truck.We begged that he add the boxes of our clothes a single dresser & our mattress.He agreed if we paid $4,800.We had to leave 90% of our furniture behind as well as kitchen goods,some clothes...It was heartbreaking.Because so much was left behind & because they took 8 hours instead of 3 we had to stay in NYC that night.They left just before 10:30pm.We slept on our floor surrounded by all the furniture we'd have to leave behind.We had no spare money to pay anyone else to move our furniture & we had to leave to get to our destination.On Mon I called customer service to tell them what happened & they gave us a credit of $500.We had to leave our couch,bed frame,a dresser,buffet.... thousands of dollars of furniture AND were charged $2,000 more than we were quoted & they offered us $500.When our things arrived the boxes were damaged-torn, smashed...We could not have had a worse moving experience.
This is the WORST MOVING COMPANY OUT THERE. I'll start with Joe. The sales guy that answers when you call. You don't hear from him again once they have your money.
Then there's Ryan. He not only had no idea where our things were but actually gave false information as far as what state our truck was in. I was promised a reimbursement and now days after calling and getting no response I am told I am not getting a refund. I will be yelping this company and taking them to small claims as soon as I complete my move.
What a disaster!!!!!! I have never been more disappointed in a company in my life. I used this company to move me to Florida. When I purchased my space I upped it to make sure that when they got here I wasn't part of the horror stories where they say you need more space and now since it's last minute you have no choice but to pay the additional amount. I paid the money and waited for my furniture. Two weeks later my furniture shows up I am missing boxes and have damage on almost every single item that was shipped. Not to mention while bringing my bed down the stairs from the pick up location they ripped the packaging off of my bed by accident. I was told once they got it on the truck they would repackage it. No when my bed got here they threw it on my dirty driveway. From the move my bed was completely filthy and I would never sleep on it. Everyone of my items is damaged. Maybe I wouldn't be mad if it was not brand-new. Not to mention the guy in my house told me just get the basic insurance we are carriers we protect and take care of your belongings. Now I will get $.60 a pound for all of my belongings by weight. Do not I repeat do not use this company. I can see if one of my items were damaged accidents happen. But everything but one item was damaged on its way to me. It was a disaster my stuff looks like it was in a car accident. All my boxes were broken. Everything is filthy and that is the stuff that gets here. This pick up was on JUNE 24th Today is August 23rd and still no talks of resolutions they say we must wait for the claim that can take up to 120 days but yet still not a call from anyone and I was promised managers would call me back and work on it. NOTHING till date to let me know how this will be fixed. I will keep you all posted how this works out. These reviews here must be fake because the person who brought my stuff looked at me like this was all normal.
I had a very mixed experience with Moving Pros, which still is not complete since they lost(or stole) 2 of my boxes. I have filed a claim to try and get them back, but ridiculously, it takes 180 days for them to figure out what happened to my boxes. The guys that actually moved us were great, they showed up on time and worked extremely hard and fast. Unfortunately, aside from the actually movers I can't say our experience was great . Once I signed the contract, the guy I had dealt with(Larry), kind of disappeared and was not responsive at all, and at the end just flat out ignored my texts and emails. I felt that once he had the sale, he was done with me for the most part. And in addition to losing(or stealing) my 2 boxes, I also had an issue with the delivery date. I had paid extra to have our stuff delivered on a certain date, but when they finished packing me up, they informed me that that it would be an extra day - so they did not deliver on their contract. They did rebate me the extra money that I had paid, but having the exact delivery date was more important to us, so this was a big inconvenience. Our move ended up being a lot bigger, and took a lot longer than we had estimated, so I would recommend having someone come in and look at your move before agreeing to a quote. And make sure you open all the cabinets and closets and show them everything you may have hidden away to get an accurate assessment. I had debating switching moving companies about a week before our move due to Larry's apparent lack of interest in me after out contact was signed. I wish I had switched. If my lost (or stolen) boxes re-appear, I may bump them up to 2 stars. I cannot recommend them to you though. I would go with someone else if given a choice.
Moved me from Philadelpha to Charlotte, bedroom, den furniture, kitchen, etc Spoke with them, told them all I was moving, told me no problem, "small" load, estimate 2k, 4 day max delivery. When they arrived 04 29, they said 'whoa, you got lots more" Told me it was now $ 4200 .. cried, then hollered but had no choice, had to leave that day. I feel this is their M O, give you low ball number, quick delivery, then scam you. Plus delivery took 8 days It was a very expensive lesson I learned about this type of 'doing business'
My name is Jason and I just did a move from NYC to Austin, TX. I was told that these movers were professional movers and would have appropriate type boxes for what they were packing. I am extremely angry by the fact that I paid over $5200 to a company who provided me with A.) Movers that DID NOT come prepared with the different types of boxes that we needed and instead asked us if WE had garment boxes and TV boxes. They ended up going back to their truck and grabbing garment boxes, but instead of producing a TV box of appropriate size (like I was told would happen) they handmade them by cutting and taping other boxes to fit the TV into and did not put hardly any protection (like bubble wrap) and instead threw in a couple sheets of paper, literally. B.) Professional movers. In one dish box they packed a ton of things just thrown into it; numerous smaller items that should have been wrapped up, along with a big stone bowl and a 2x2 stained glass my wife made and every single breakable item in there was not packed correctly; it was tossed into the box unprotected by paper or bubble wrap. They did not use a single piece of bubble wrap on anything I owned and wrapped everything like they had no idea what they were doing, but yet I was told I would be receiving professional packers and movers and that they would provide all materials including boxes and bubble wrap (and also use them). I`m disgusted with the money I spent with you guys. In short, I was told untruths by the rep (such as how everything would be handled and packed along with the items being used or provided). Somehow, even when I looked before I gave them my money, they have achieved nothing but high stars; I now do not believe that those reviews were accurate at all. I have moved 6 times in the last 15 years of my life (Marine Corps) and I have never seen anything packed remotely close to be as bad as what I seen with this company; I wish I would have known that before giving them my money. Run away.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. If the idea of being charged to have people STEAL YOUR THINGS to include TAX RECORDS and FAMILY HEIRLOOMS - have BOXES DISAPPEAR WITHOUT A TRACE, recieve boxes that AREN'T YOURS, and have THINGS GONE THROUGH WHILE TRANSPORTED is quality customer service, then they are the company for you. Otherwise RUN AWAY. I had all of this happen to me within the last 3 weeks - at a cost to me of nearly $4,0000. No explanation and no care by this company. I believe this company has committed FRAUD and IDENTITY THEFT on me. BEWARE - because you could be next. And what isn't gone is BROKEN. I VERY STRONGLY SUGGEST you think twice about this company and either just move yourself or hire REAL professionals. Not THEIVES and people who view your things as JUNK. I know I'm kicking myself for going this route. A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!!!!

Bunch of f***ing a**holes who doesnt know how to talk over the phone especially "Sammy"!!! Whats wrong if i have to involve my wife for consideration you sexist!!! He was so rude over the phone. You called not me. Clearly with that attitude there will be more negative reviews. Clearly unprofessional and not worth to even talk.
This was a full throttle, action-packed move with a ton of boxes and furniture!! Moving Pros Inc did an outstanding job maintaining their cool and having a positive attitude the entire move!!! They were extremely reliable and didn't seem to be phased by the heavy work load!! They did a lot of work for a GREAT price. I expected a nightmarish price and service for the amount of stuff I had to move.. Glad it went over well! From what I witnessed, very easy to put your faith in this company.
