I was very pleasantly surprised by my 60 minute massage at Me U Salon; it was my first visit, and I went because of the lifebooker special.
My massage therapist was Keiko, and she did an amazing job blending swedish, shiatsu, and hot stone techniques for a massage that was at the same time relaxing and invigorating, and it relieved some very significant tightness in my neck and shoulders.
I will be back!

I booked a 60 minute massage. It was 4pm when I arrived, right on time. The receptionist was very friendly, as was the guy who came out immediately to come take my coat and offer me a drink. However, I had to give this spa one star based on the service itself. I had Keiko as a masseuse and honestly she gave me the worst massage of my life. I found myself wondering halfway through if she suffered from ADD. She would give my left foot three quick squeezes, then cover it up and move to my left foot. Three squeezes, cover up. Uncover one arm, rub quickly up and down, move to the other arm. She spent more time covering and uncovering my limbs and applying oil and moving around the table than she actually spent massaging. And everytime she moved, something clanked or she bumped the table (which was rickety and actually squeaked A LOT!). At one point she banged something metallic into the table really hard. And then, instead of apologizing, she did it again a moment later! And she muttered to herself the whole time (lot of loud sighs and grunts), which was not relaxing! A couple of times she found one spot and really dug into it, until I had to tell her to stop, and then instead of stopping she continued to do it while explaining that I had a knot she was trying to work out. I finally had to tell her to leave the ""knots"" alone and that I just wanted to relax. After which she muttered three or four times that I had sensitive skin. It sounded like, ""your skin...your skin...your skin too sensitive..."" I think she realized that I was getting seriously annoyed with her, because she actually got better at the end and gave me a very good 10-minute back rub toward the end without any muttering! It was such a contrast from the earlier slacking off and banging around that I was really surprised. Then a really loud buzzer went off. I've only had masseuses use those loud buzzers to time themselves at supercheap reflexology places, never at a real spa. She then covered my back up and left. I'll also say that after I got dressed, I took a 3 minute call with a friend, went out, got my coat, used the bathroom, paid, and then looked at my watch and it was exactly 5pm, so this buzzer must have been set at 45 minutes or something...I still left her a $25 tip because I figure that it's not an easy living being a masseuse, and really the ultimate responsibility rests with the spa, who should screen and train their therapists better. By the way, when I complained about the squeaky table, they admitted that they'd given me one not usually used for massages because their other room was occupied by my friend. The clear solution to this would have been to ask me to wait for my massage, as I know my friend's appointment was 2 hours before mine--we had tiered it deliberately because they told us they couldn't accommodate both at the same time! They should not have used that table for any massage at all once they knew it squeaked.
Edit to add: I'm deleting the original second part of this review because Keiko now says she received the whole tip I left her. Someone had simply forgotten to hand it to her. I will leave this comment in: I should mention that the tip ""envelopes"" were basically folded sheets of paper, and I did notice at the time that there was no way to seal them, unlike most spas where you could not only seal the envelope but also drop it into a slot for a box with that therapist's name. My advice for anyone going is to either give your tip to the therapist directly or tip via credit card - I usually like to leave cash but without lock boxes credit card tipping might be for the best.

HILARY THE OWNER IS A WITCH. SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER CLIENTS WHATSOEVER, $ IS HER ONLY OBJECTIVE EVEN IF THAT MEANS PROVIDING THE WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE.
I had extensions done at the salon by Christine who turned out to be incredibly inexperienced and unprofessional. After applying the extensions in such a horrible way that it damaged half my head, she then stole the remaining hair leftover from the extensions (extension hair is very expensive). When contacted the owner (Hilary) to complain she told me she would ""fix"" Christine's mess but only if I bought additional hair and said she was not responsible for her employees actions.
You would think the owner would know how to apply extensions, but my new hairdresser told me that she did such a horrible job as well.
Moral of the story: STAY AWAY

I came in feeling really stressed, just miserable all over. Keiko, who does amazing shiatsu, was able to ""listen"" to my body. She worked on my lower back, legs, and shoulders. As soon as she started working on me, I began to feel so much more better. I went home, slept like a baby, and woke up feeling great. Keiko made me feel like I just came back from a relaxing vacation. This was the absolute best massage I've ever had..

Keiko, who is not only great with shiatsu and general massage, but pleasant and friendly, worked on my back and shoulders, which were holding a lot of tension. I thought right away that she knew what she was doing, and she did. After she finished, I felt fantastic!!! Had a date that evening and important business meeting the next day. Felt my absolute best for both!!! Run to Me U Salon and insist on Keiko!!! She's amazing!!!

I went to Me U Salon without knowing what to expect but as soon as I walked in I felt good. My hair stylist, Patrico, took care of me. I had some red in my hair that I didn't want and he was able to get rid of it and gave me the perfect hair color. Irving washed my hair was great as well. He was massaged my head while he was shampooing and conditioning. When it was a time for haircut, I trusted Patrico to give me a haircut that he thought would look good and it turned out great! I work in fashion and everyone commented on how great my hair-color and new hairstyle looked. I just discovered a new hair stylist who really knows how to take care of his clients when it comes to making your hair look beautiful.

I have been going to Kenny for the past 7 years to get my hair cut and wouldn't think about going to anyone else! He always takes the time to discuss what you want done and ensures that you're happy at the end.
I have very thick hair and he always does a great job of making it look great and making it more easy for me to dry and style.
If you're looking for a great cut and some good conversation too.. go to Kenny!

The ME U SALON completely destroyed my hair. I CAN NOT believe how they could have let me walk out of the salon looking like the way i did. My scalp and ears were FRIED, my roots ended up being a ‘highlighter yellow’ color and my lowlights (which were supposed to fix the disaster) turned gray/blue. On top of this, they burned my scalp to the point where my neck and ears broke out severely (unfortunately i cannot post the photos here, but they go to YELP and you will see them). When I asked if the yellow would eventually subside, Patrizio/Patrick, the gentleman coloring me hair, along w/ complaining about how he isn’t compensated fairly at the salon and how he needs to make $2000/week in order to fund his high-end lifestyle, said “here’s a tip, I don’t normally tell people this… just use some Windex on your hair when you’re in the shower, it’ll take the color right out” . SERIOUSLY?? ARE YOU KIDDING???
They charged me $79 PLUS an $11 tax. On top of this, I tipped $30 (not sure why I even did that- i guess I was guilted by Patrick into paying the tip to support his high-roller lifestyle) and an hour later, went to my regular salon to get my hair fixed. In total, I spent 6 hours in 2 salons (ME U SALON – 4 hrs and ruined my hair; and my regular salon 2 hrs to fix my hair—it was so bad that the owner of my regular salon almost had me sign waivers b/c initially they didn’t think they could fix it). Essentially, i had to go from blonde highlights to brown hair so that my hair wouldnt fall out completely. On top of that, Patrick/Patrizio mustve been on some sort of drugs because the bleach was dripping all over my neck ( he put vaseline on my neck to cover the burns), in my ears, and even stained my shirt.
In total, I spent way to much money getting my hair ruined at ME U SALON. Trust me ladies, DO NOT GO THERE- they are crooks! Their EMPLOYEES DONT EVEN WANT TO WORK THERE!!
As someone who works in sales, I find the rude attitude of the salon owner, Hilary, completely unacceptable and shocking – as someone who wants to grow her business by using your the Lifebooker service. When I called her and explained the situation and how I felt about the damage done to my hair , she got extremely agitated and said she would call me in ½ hour. 2 days later (no call back), I have to call her and after telling me to contact Lifebooker (she said Lifebooker is responsible for refunds because I booked through them, the max she could refund me is $40), she HANGS up on me mid-sentence. Also noteworthy (and comical) she asked me why i didnt go back to ME U SALON to get my hair fixed!!! - WHO in their right mind would want to go back to a salon and ""hair bleacher"" (i wont use the term ""stylist"") that ruined their hair????????
Again, I truly feel this is unacceptable.
I am still in absolute shock as to how a salon can conduct business like this. I normally NEVER complain, however, in this case, it was a waste of my time and money to try out a new salon- in the end, it was the worst customer service and ""stylist"" experience I have ever encountered. I even had asked Hilery if her the ""hair bleaceher"" was licensed- to which she began screaming at me that “all my employees are licensed!!”- I would certainly like to see proof of that.
Take a look at the photos on YELP also- worth a thousand words. I rated it 1 STAR because this system wouldnt allow me to give 0 Stars.

Asolutely the best
A few months ago i purchased a caribbean mani-pedi from lifebooker, after i read some of the reviews from thoses ladies i was very hesitated,so i never went.Recently, lifebooker has another deal for the elemental nature massage and facial so i've been meaning to have a massage for so long.so i purchase that loot also. Finally, today i had an appointment to redeem my caribbean mani-pedi and my elemental massage and facial i did not know if that would have been possible but it was.NOW let me tell the whole world i totally disagree with all those ladies. My experience @ me u salon spa was obsolutely fantastic,my mani-pedi was excelent,my masse and facial was beyond incredible,i am a very difficult person so if i told youd i was very please you have got to believe me.the salon itself was extremely clean and very well decor, everyone's license was posted on the wall.besides i love aveda they are truly top of line products.I must say if anyone knows what quality is not quantity you should not hesitate to go to Me U Salon Spa cause they are high end salon, i guess their price are a little high,i do not mind at all because if you want the best you have to pay for the best.UNFORTUNATELY, for those ladies that did not have that experiense i strongly suggest that you gave it another chance (like they say second time around is always better.)So lifebooker thanks for introduce me to Me U Salon I will certainly go back again and again and again even if they do not have deal. OH i forget to mention after my massage and facial the owner hillary offer to give me a free blow-out because my hair was all mess-up. so how incredible is that.so for those of you who had purchase a deal from lifebooker or any other company so please take my advice see it for yourself.
SO THANK YOU ME U SALON SPA FOR MAKING MY DAY A PRINCESS DAY OF BEAUTY I NEEDED it.

I went to Me U Salon a few times last year. I loved my stylist Michel, but did NOT like her partner. On one of my visits, her partner added an extra $20.00 to my bill without my knowledge. When I called to inquire about the extra charge, she told me that she would have to get back to me. (I guess she needed extra time to think of an excuse to give me). Okay she finally called me back a couple hours later and gave me some cockamamie story. She might as well have said it to me in a foreign language because I had no idea what she was trying to explain to me. In any event, I did go back a couple of times after that, but with hesitation because this incident left a very bad taste in my mouth. Like I said I loved Michel!!! She's an awesome stylist and a very nice woman. I would probably still be a client of hers if her partner weren't there controlling things. It seemed to me that she's very money hungry and really don't care very much about the customers! This is just my opinion. If you like the salon and the service, more power to you, but I say proceed with caution...AND MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL FOR ACCURACY!!!
P.S. Sorry Michel
