Dr. O'Dwyer is one of the best eye doctors I've seen. She's very thorough in her exams and answers all questions. I never feel rushed when I'm in her office and I feel like I'm getting top quality care. Her staff is also courteous and friendly and will try to fit me in for appointments given my chaotic work and travel schedule. I've recommended her to multiple friends and colleagues and she never disappoints. Everything about her practice is simply the best!

I can't say enough about Dr O'Dwyer and her practice. The office is nice, clean and organized. The attention and time she gave to myself and husband was wonderful. She helped fit me for glasses and didn't rush me through the process. It was a pleasure to visit her. I will also be bringing in my children for check ups before school starts again. I know she will make them feel safe and comfortable during their visit
Dr. O'Dwyer is a fantastic eye dr. It is quite uncommon to find a Dr. that will take the time to answer your questions without rushing you out of the exam room - but Dr. O'Dwyer always takes the time to explain my results and address my questions. The office staff is friendly and approachable. My criteria in a good dr. is one who will spend time with me/patients but not have an hour wait in the waiting room - and Dr. O'Dwyer has managed to find that happy medium in her practice. I strongly recommend her and have sent many friends to her who are now happy long-term patients of hers as well.
I've been a patient of Dr O'Dwyer for three years. She is better than any other optometrist, or doctor, that I've ever seen. She takes the time to get to know her patients, she explains examinations and results in detail and is happy to answer any and all questions. I was referred to her by a friend, and in turn have referred many of my friends and colleagues to her, and without hesitation would say that anyone looking for a great eye doctor, and in particular anyone who feels that their prior doctors never quite got it right, should feel confident in seeing Dr. O'Dwyer.
I live on the UES and have never worn glasses before but began experiencing terrible headaches last year which I could not find an explanation for. When visiting my primary care Dr I was referred to Dr. O'Dwyer as he felt there might be a link given the time I spend on the computer and reading print. What an angel this doctor is! She didn't have an opening that week but upon hearing my complaints, stayed late one evening to accommodate me. My primary was right. Not only did I need glasses and was outfitted with ones that were perfect for me but I managed to find the best and most stylish pair of sunglasses I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot). Thank you, Dr. O'Dwyer! I will be highly recommending you to everyone!
Both my husband and I have used Dr. O'Dwyer for years. She recently saw my husband on short notice afer he lost his prescription sun glasses and needed a new pair before going on vacation. She also specially ordered athletic glasses for him.
She and her staff are always professional, and we have nothing but good experiences with them. Her office is pretty nice too!
I would highly recommend her, and have referred many friends over the years.

I found Dr. O'dwyer on the dr. search of my insurance company's website.
At first, Dr. O'dwyer seemed very nice and pleasant - quick eye exam, paid my copay and was done with it..or so I thought.
I went to the usual place I order my eyeglasses from every year and when they attempted to call Dr. O'dwyer's office to get my prescription faxed they were met with a rood receptionist who refused to fax the rx and hung up on the optician's face. The optician tried calling back and got hung up on 2 more times. The final time they tried to call they got Dr. O'Dwyer who refused to fax the prescription and hung up on their face as well.
This was the absolute most humiliating, most childish behavior I have EVER experienced..let alone from a doctor!!
I though I was done with them until I received a bill for almost $100 a few weeks later! When I called the office to question the charge, I kept getting the run around and you got it, got hung up on again.
Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache and find a different eye doctor!
