I feel stupid admitting this: I was a patient of Dr. Dicker for about 10 years and I'd say a quarter of my teeth have had root canals and crowns courtesy of Dr. Dicker. I've also probably spent about $35,000 of my personal money on his practice(not including dental insurance). I guess I trusted him and he has broken that trust.
I am only writing this because I went to a new dentist(my mother-in-law has been seeing him for 10 years) who basically stated: I rarely criticize other dentists but this work is very, very bad. The last dentist I went to for implants(after failed root canals led to Dicker advising me to pull the teeth) also criticized Dicker's techniques especially his method of bonding crowns as being from the 60-70's.
I have to say I have not had one root canal or tooth pulled since I stopped going to Dr. Dicker about 5 years ago.
Here is how I feel Dr. Dicker worked: first he would say you needed a filling, then the filling would "fail", and he would say you needed a root canal. At one point he started using a pen-type device that he would guide over your teeth -- if it beeped, it would mean you needed a filling or root canal. It beeped a lot.
It went on like this for years. I thought I was just the only one in my family that had really bad teeth. It's embarassing that my parent's are almost in their 80's and have more natural teeth than I do. I brush and floss regularly.
Dicker also anchored a bridge on a wisdom tooth -- a practice my dentist said was very ill advised and the reason it caused a lot of problems. I am now getting an implant on the missing tooth.
I feel really stupid not having moved on. I am still suffering from Dr. Dicker's work and reminded of him each and every time I eat something.
I am writing this only because I do not want anyone else going on blind trust and go through what I went through.

I had my girlfriend call Dr. Dicker on his cell phone (on Sunday which is his day off) and describe my symptoms. He told me to walk in the next morning and he would work me into his schedule. He was juggling 3 patients at once because of me. My root canal went well and I'm going back for my crown. Thank you for taking such great care of me in such a painful time.
Dr. Dicker is a thorough and patient dentist. The thing I appreciated most is that he takes the time to explain your problems , rather than hastily delve straight into treatment. For me, good medical practice means empowering and educating, and not simply business.
Dr. Dicker has the courage of his convictions to tell you the whole truth. I have had dentists not do the work and it resulted in bigger problems. Those dentists will tell you whatever they think you want to hear because they just want your immediate business. I chose a dentist who is responsible and exceptional. Dr Dicker certainly is that. I trust him implicitly. I highly recommend him.
Everyone is always so friendly and ready to answer any questions that you might have. The hygienists are great and provide excellent service. My dentist is Dr. Marshall Dicker, and he is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever gone to. He will take however much time is needed to work with you and go above and beyond to help resolve any special needs that you may have.

Dr Dicker and his staff are an amazing team! He is the best dentist I have ever had, very caring and fun at the same time! His assistants are just as nice- they always welcome me with open hands and try very hard to accommodate my random work schedule. I love going back to that place and would recommend it to anyone! Top notch dental service!
They work as a great team, they're both extremely friendly and genuinely care about the comfort of their patients. They remember names and previous conversations and seem to really enjoy the work they do. I actually look forward to seeing these them which makes going to the dentist actually kind of fun.

NEVER GO TO THIS ""DENTIST"" BECAUSE HE IS A CERTIFIED SCAM ARTIST.
I'm only giving this guy one star because you can't go lower than that. I went for my first appoint with this ""doctor"" a month ago and right off the bat his hygienist tried to pitch teeth whitening to me.
I had to sit in a chair that had residue from another patient. His office was dirty and some of the equipment was rusted, etc.
After that, through a long, 1.5 hour appointment with the hygienist taking unnecessary images of each of my teeth, the doctor came in and proceeded to tell me I needed new fillings, that I had 8 cavities, deep gum cleansing, and more. He proceeded to try and convince me that I had cavities because of stains on my teeth (from the photos) he took. And when I say convince, I mean he tried to use scare tactics to talk about how my entire mouth would get screwed up within weeks if I didn't let him drill into my teeth.
I told him that I had come in for a routine cleaning and exam and needed x-rays and that I'd like to get a second opinion from my original dentist that didn't take my insurance. He gave me such crap about it, saying, ""If I had known that is all you wanted, I would have cleaned your teeth and let you leave...instead of wasting our time."" It actually sounded like a guilt trip. It's like he knew he had been caught.
I have not had cavities for most of my life and the two I do have is because of a defect on my teeth. This guy not only wanted to replace old fillings, but he wanted to drill into 6 more teeth. Wouldn't clean my teeth. Out right refused, saying that I needed anesthetic based gum cleansing and only then would his hygienist use a laser to confirm all of the cavities. I asked for them to email over my x-rays and they gave me a runaround. When I finally got them, I sent them over to my original dentist and he said that there was NO WAY I had 8 cavities.
I'm glad I uncovered this scam artist before he screwed up my teeth. And don't believe that weird article about that con artist who assumed Dr. Dicker's identity. The real Dr. Dicker is JUST AS BAD.
