From management to the maid service, staff were exceptionally helpful and polite - a pleasant surprise in NY for an out of town visitor. Food and nightlife were awesome, and the ambiance is great. The maritime theme is a real departure from the surrounding city.

I really felt like I was on a cruise ship during my stay at the Maritime. The entire staff donned nautical duds, and in true cruise ship fashion, the hotel room was as small as a ship's cabin. Besides feeling a little clastrophobic, I was fine. Luckily, I didn't get seasick and only stayed one night. But the social scene at the hotel is bustling. The bars are hopping, the food is delicious, and I want to come back soon to try the sushi place, too.

I recommended this place to a friend of mine coming into town. He had one of the best stays ever in this cute little hotel. I went over to visit him and was shocked at how friendly and kind the staff was. I go to La Bottega all the time, but had never seen the rooms until this past weekend. They are so cute - the most unique rooms I'd ever seen in Manhattan. The design throughout the entire place is so tight. I wouldn't change a thing. I will definitely recommend this hotel to other friends and family.

My friends and I met at the hotel bar here; what a bad idea. The waitress took forever to get the drinks and some were not what we ordered. The absolute worst is that the bar adds a 20% gratuity per drink & tax, no matter what the size of your group! In other words, a $9 glass a wine was $12. The worst! NEVER AGAIN.

A group of us decided to spend our New Years Eve and it was AWFUL!!!! They charged 150$ per person and lied about all the details of the party. Chaos errupted towards the end of the night which was around 1:30am when the party was supposed to go to 3am! People lost their coats, they were trampled on, and fights broke out. The advertisement said open bar from 10-3am but there was only one bar to accomodate 1500 people. So you waited like 45 minutes to get a drink! They said that they would be serving top shelf alcohol but that wasn't the case. The hotel was not completely renovated so the ""ballroom"" they promoted looked like a dark gymnasium. Overrall Huge Thumbs down!
