Was happy, now i'm not THEY LOST MY SHOES

They lost my $250 shoes. I'M VERY UPSET. I've gone back every week for the past 4 months to try and find them and they still haven't found them. They're gone forever.

happy customer

good repair shop. got a full sole and partial heal replacement for some ken cole shoes that had been worn to the ground. they put on a new leather sole and rubber heal, cleaned up the inside with some leather patches, re dyed the entire shoe and shined them up. $60 and they threw in some laces. they didn't just glue on the new sole either - stitched it in. i am a happy customer.

DON'T LOOSE YOUR TICKET FOR YOUR SHOES !

I brought my favorite pair of boots to be fixed at Hector's.
I was excited as they seemed really nice and I got the feeling they knew what they were doing.
I went to go pick them up on a Monday and they were closed for the holiday.
Hector's is not exactly next to my house so it was a few days before I was able to go back.
I missed placed my ticket and didn't think it would be a problem.
I went in there on my way to work (on a sat) and told them that I didn't have my ticket.
He replied with ""I AM TOO BUSY I CAN NOT LOOK FOR THEM NOW"".
There was only one customer in the store at the time who was leaving. I told him that I was getting on a plane on Monday (they are closed sun) and would not be able to come back.
HE SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS AND SAID TOO BAD HE WAS BUSY. I could NOT believe it !

So because I lost my ticket he was punishing me! He told me "" THAT HE WOULD LOOK FOR THEM AFTER HE WAS CLOSED"" I again pleaded and he turned his back with no alternative. I said that I would wait, he replied ""YOU WILL BE WAITING TILL WE CLOSE THEN""
The most frustrating thing is that he didn't offer an alternative to my problem. Not even to come back in twenty min or an hour. Just that he would look for the shoes when he was closed.
It wouldn't have been so upsetting if I didn't need them right away and if I lived around the corner.

So BEWARE IF YOU LOOSE YOUR TICKET you might not get your shoes back !

The BEST Shoe Cobblers in Manhattan, maybe anywhere! They can fix your shoe and/or make it fit you p

I have to say I have never written an online review before, I probably never will again. The only reason I am writing this one is because Hector's is the BEST shoe repair in the city (or anywhere else for that matter-believe me I know, I've had my shoes fixed in several different countries and all over the states-I have become a shoe repair aficionado) As most of you know, the streets of NYC are hard on a woman's shoes. I have really practically destroyed expensive shoes and boots (anywhere from $700-$3000) and hector has shined, reheeled, re-soled, stretched and modified almost every pair perfectly. I wouldn't be able to satisfy my need for beautiful shoes if it weren't for Hector's. If you want a pair of boots but they are too tight or too loose around your calf, buy them anyway! Hector's can fix it and fix it fast. They even saved a pair of $1500 White and silver tipped Python boots from going in the garbage. They are reliable, friendly, expedient and most of TALENTED when it comes to making your shoes perfect for you.

Quick and quality shoe repairs

I was very nervous about taking a pair of $1200 boots in to get a half sole and heel tip repair, but Hector's did a fine job at a reasonable price. Also, I was surprised that the shoes were ready 48 hours after I dropped them off, since I did not request expedited service. I definitely would recommend them to people in the area with designer shoes.
