We've been taking our dogs to Groom-O-Rama for more than 15 years. Sal provides tender care, and a fantastic cut. Unlike other groomers, this place is clean and organized and our dog always leaves happy. Sal took care of our Wheaten and always managed to make him look and feel terrific. We now have a Kerry Blue Terrier--also a non shedding dog, with a very long (and often messy beard. They take their time there to get all the knots out rather than just cutting the hair. And, again our Kerry leaves happy, and feeling rather good about himself! Best groomer in NYC!

This is not a typical pet store. Located on 6th Avenue between West 12th and 13th Streets, of course they sell toys, dog sweaters/coats, grooming supplies, lots of varieties of dog and cat food, do grooming and sell dogs and cats. Not only did I get my darling Westie there--a totally spontaneous purchase--but we visit at least 3 times weekly. She is totally devoted to and in love with owner, Sal, and manager William...and they are in love with her, too. Ergo, I imagine they did quite a bit of bonding with her from the time she arrived at G-0-R to the time I took her home! Great, caring people and personalized service from A-to-Z!!

This is NYC's best kept secret for great deals on healthy food for cats. Don't let the dogs in the window fool you. This place is indeed very cat-friendly and has a great selection of food for your feline friends. I have done price comparisons online and in other stores, and Groom-O-Rama beats even online prices I've seen for the cat food that I buy. I don't even live in the city, I live in Jersey City, and the pet stores in my neighborhood can't even compare to Groom-O-Rama pricewise. They simply have the best deals hands down. Additionally, the staff is very helpful. The reviews here that say otherwise seem pretty dated, so perhaps they've revamped their staff since that time because everyone speaks English here and is very accommodating. For example, I wanted to find a healthy dry food with small kibble for my cat who is missing some of her teeth. A very knowledgeable staff person spent at least 5 min with me, showing me different brands that might suit her well. So not only do they
