- I feel very fortunate to be continuing in the footsteps of my father in the dental field. I have found a profession that is most rewarding and allows me to be involved in the lives of so many people and families. I am a people person who loves to talk and share stories of family and friends, and I love to hear about the lives of my patients when they come in for an appointment. It has been my goal to make our office, and the people in it, an extension of my family. Education and Continuing Education I graduated from Adelphi University, magna cum laude, and am an honors graduate of Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. I received my Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University and am proud to have served in my community by providing the very best orthodontic care for more than 20 years. I am involved in a number of dental study clubs, such as the New York Academy of Dentistry. This keeps me in touch with various dental professionals in the area and up to date about the newest techniques and procedures in the orthodontic field. I am an active member of the American Board of Orthodontics and American Association of Orthodontists and attend the annual meetings. It is a great opportunity to learn new techniques, connect with some old friends, and visit the exhibition hall. I have taught at Columbia University, giving numerous seminars a year to the next generation of orthodontic professionals. Our Team It is my team’s goal to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for all our patients. Each patient is treated with individual care and attention and good communication is highly valued. Many of my staff members have been with the practice for many years, providing patients with consistent quality of care. It doesn’t hurt that they all have a great sense of humor, too!

Wonderful experience from the reception to the exray. Every question an answer was done with expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend this orthodontist office.
Dr. Gibbs is an amazing dr, he is thorough, dedicated, and brilliant at what he does, both my daughter and are thrilled with our results and had a great experience with him and the office. Highly recommend!!

The quality of care is unparalleled -- I always know that there is a sound treatment plan and that it will be executed with thoughtfulness, expertise and concern. Dr. Gibbs' staff is responsive and is excellent at reminding me about appointments and accommodating changes. I cannot imagine taking my children to any other orthodontist in NYC.

Provided by Doctor.comDr. Gibbs told me my son had a particularly complicated mouth - an 11 on a scale of 1-10. But we are pleased to report he got his braces off today and his teeth look fantastic. If he can tackle this with care and precision, Dr. Gibbs can navigate any orthodontic challenge.

He was always willing to take time to explain where each was in the process, and what steps were necessary before their braces could be removed. The office staff is professional and wonderfully courteous. A wonderful overall experience!
