Gabriel Shimunov Hair Salon NYC

Seriously this is the best hair place in Midtown, Manhattan!! Everyone here is kind, friendly and professional. . My new guy Polo is amazing. I visited NYC and decided to have a hair cut so I looked for the salon on line Gabriel Shimunov Salon really did stood out! So happy I picked it. I had long hair and came to cut it real short, quite of a change !!! Polo, my hairdresser did an amazing job !!! He listened to me, we discussed everything. I've showed him the photo of a haircut and the color I'm looking for, and he did it exactly the way I wanted it and even better. His suggestions was so helpful as well. I highly recommend this place and Polo!!!

My hair is thin and I am very picky when it comes to hair salon as not everyone is able to cut my hair. My to go person is Nancy, she is awesome with cut and hair coloring. I was so nervous about my very first balayage but Nancy put me at easy and did awesome job! I highly recommend this salon!!

Rakan is the best stylist, This was a great salon. Everyone was very friendly. Rakan made me look amazing. I came in with long bleached blonde hair and left with a cute shoulder length A-line cut with a rose hombre and a slight peachy undertone. I loved the color he mixed up. Im extremely satisfied. Definately going back

I love love my hair cut & balayage color.! David was my colorist and stylist, and I love my hair!!! I constantly get compliments on my hair. He was very cool, calm, and informative. He broke down the complete process, which made me feel very comfortable.; worth every penny I definitely will be back... So do your self a favor and go to Gabriel Shimunov salon! Trust me, it's worth it!

I absolutely love love love this place... From the time I walked in, the staff was super friendly and the first thing they offered me was something to drink. While I waited for my stylist, I filled out a new client contact information sheet. My stylist Nancy came to greet me and take me to her chair. Nancy was wonderful! She took her time to understand my hair situation and styling techniques; so that she could make recommendations. The consultation took more than I had ever experienced with any other stylist, which I greatly appreciated. She really listened to what I wanted but made suggestions on the cut as well as products that would help me tame my hair. I also had color, which I love because my hair looks healthier! Thank you Nancy and for making your clients feel fabulous. :)

I love this place. It's quick and affordable. I came in today without an appointment. I was very thrilled and enlightened that such a new and exciting salon has made its way to Midtown. Actually, I have not heard of this type of business before; therefore I was intrigued to find out about it. I was pleasantly surprised with the total ambiance of the shop. The owner is delightful as are his stylists. Jessica was my stylist and she was great. Prior to starting any applications, we talked for a few moments regarding the styling, as I am a very fussy person. She was "right on" with what I was looking for! One of the great haircuts I've ever had. Last week went there for the first time, they colored and cut my hair and im very happy! Service was great, team was very friendly and nice..

Good scalp massage. fantastic customer service, I felt comfortable right away. Gabriel was lovely to talk to and was very knowledgable about hair, I am a person that plans and researches everything! When I finally decided I was going to get the Brazilian Blowout I read everything about it. I googled hair salons in my area and the first link that came up was Brazilian Blowout By Gabriel. I then proceeded to read reviews for this place and this guy "Gabriel" Every review sounded to good to be true and my first thought was that he probably had his staff or even he wrote about his wonders. I still called and made an appt for the next morning at 8 in the morning! That's right folks 8 in the morning. He understood that I'm a morning person and didn't want to spend my whole day at the hair salon. (breath of fresh air) My hair NOW is silky and looks 100xs healthier, had a great experience. Wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be he has a cool summer promotion going (a haircut is included) He made the whole experience awesome! I would highly recommend him to my family and friends! Gabriel Shimunov is a great salon - the staff is super cool and super friendly. They play a fantastic mix of fun music - not lame lounge music,
So they recommend me some soft layers, very playful but elegant and in my face also some long soft layers to cover my round face shape.
And the color was also perfect. I didn't want warm color, but as natural as possible. Best hair salon experience I've ever had!!!!

Just got home from yet another perfect haircut from Gabriel!
I have had many haircuts and colors, but every time I leave Salon I tell Gabriel how it is my best haircut EVER... and I mean it!
Gabriel's attention to detail is phenomenal!
