We ordered New Years Eve dinner from Ethos last night, which arrived about an hour after we ordered (fine). Only problem was that the food that came included nothing of what we ordered. About 5 minutes later without us calling the restaurant a different delivery guy showed up from Ethos with another bag of food, so we assumed that they messed up and brought us the correct order (we were wrong). They sent more food, which was again nothing of what we ordered.
I called the restaurant to let them know that they twice delivered us food, which was not what we ordered. The gentleman on the phone was very apologetic and told me that the kitchen was closed, and instructed me to call in the morning and they will send me a refund (great)…
Following direction, I called first thing this morning and was told that the manager would not be in until 6pm, and that I should come in then to get a refund (no longer were they going to send someone to bring the refund to me). Already annoyed by the run around, I proceeded to schlep to the restaurant arriving there shortly after 6 to be told that the manager will not be there for several more hours. I requested that one of the staff call him and have him give permission for one of the staff to issue me my refund…
They called him and told me that they would issue me a store credit, which was absolutely unacceptable, and to top that I would have to come pick it up in a day or two. Since this was the first time (and last time) we’ve every ordered food from this place, a store credit was completely unacceptable, and it is completely unreasonable for this place to think that it’s OK to mess up our order, not send us a replacement, and then offer us a “store credit”
So be very wary with this restaurant. If you do still order from them, allow several hours to ensure that you get your correct food, and under no circumstances do you pay with cash because if you’re not happy all you will get is a store credit (EVEN IF THE UNSATISFACTION IS SOLEY CAUSED BY THE RESTAURANT)
