Developing a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship is the first step toward helping one understand their feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Rather than being solely a passive listener, my style resembles more of an interactive approach by discussing issues in a direct and empathic manner.I help my clients better understand and deal with life problems, including depression, anxiety, loss, and relationship issues. I try to create an informal environment in which I'm careful to tailor my approach and pacing to each client's particular needs, goals and personality style.I know that the decision to begin therapy and the process of choosing a therapist can be difficult.
