Needs to be more about making customer happy

The wings are huge. So their kinda hard to pull apart.i asked them can they please chop them up they was t
Like oh we don't do that. My wing almost flew outta my hand to another table trying to I'll them all that sauce doesnt help! But don't get me wrong the wings are fab and I love their drinks. I don't really buy the rotisserie because it's not fully cooked. The rice be hard some times. Oh and if you want to have a birthday this is not the place they give you corn bread and whip cream and it's a thin piece lol.

Not Thankful on Thanksgiving at Dallas BBQ

I went to Dallas BBQ on TG'ing to give myself a break from cooking this year and I chose them because usually I'm pretty satisfied with their meals, but this time it was horrendous. They offered turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. The entre was a pile of slop. The turkey was diced and placed in the gravey and poured over the stuffing which made the stuffing extremely soggy and the taste was horrible. It looked like I was being fed in a homeless soup kitchen. Honestly, I did volunteer work in Soup Kitchens and I'm pretty sure they ate better than I did that day! I will never, ever in my life eat there again for Thanksgiving. Whoever cooked that meal should be fired! Shame on you Dallas BBQ. Though many plates were being turned away why did you continue to serve it. It was not up to standard for your business. I do have to say that the pumpkin pie was the only enjoyable thing brought to my table.

During my 1st visit to NYC, I cam e across this joint and decided to give it a try. BAD Decision!

The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired - kinda drab and dim.

The hostess wanted to seat me upstairs since I was dining along - I asked if the cost of my meal would be any different than the other diners and he stated it would not be so I told him I wanted to sit in the front near the window.

I order the Beef ribs and baked potato - HORRIBLE!
The ribs were not edible because they didn't pull the membrane off the ribs, so all the meat was under the membrane. I had to use my fingers to pull what little meat I could salvage from the bones - not a good look!

The 15% gratuity was included in the bill - this seems to be a standard practice in Times Square. Make sure you check you bill so you will not give them a double tip.

The best thing about this place was the drinks - they give you a 20 oz round glass.

Great food. Great drinks. Great BBQ.

The goblet sized margarita glasses are perfect for a casual hang out at a good price, and the spicy BBQ wings are my favorite.

What happened?

I used to go to Dallas BBQs around the city all the time a couple of years ago but something changed for the worse.... The past 2 times that I've been there, the food quality has been awful. They either over-cook or under-cook what you order and when it's busy, they'll have you waiting forever for your meal. The only thing worth going for is their frozen drinks (as I can see I'm not the first to say - below). I used to love place but I will never eat here again!!!

The most recent reviewers are correct.......the food here is poor! I went there yesterday with my gf and I ordered the 1/4 chicken meal, she ordered a cheeseburger (which is far overpriced). When the chicken arrived, it was 95% fat with hardly any meat on it whatsoever!! My gf's cheeseburger (which she asked to be WELL-DONE) arrived pink and bloody! When we called the Non-American waiter over, he tried to argue that the meat was fine on the burger!! Can you believe that?? I explained to him that a bloody burger is NOT considered well done in this country. He did reluctantly bring it back and brought a better cooked burger (still not well done) 15 minutes later. I would NEVER EVER eat here again or waste my money at any of the Dallas BBQ chains and do NOT recommend them for their food. However, they DO have the best Pina Coladas and frozen alcoholic drinks I've ever had. So Dallas BBQ is perfect for a pina colada stop, but not for eating. If you want REAL good southern BBQ, go to Brother Jimmy's!!! I'm sure reviews on here will proove that.

Delicate subject

Okay . . . last night my girlfriend from out of town and I went here for a late night snack. We were the only caucasion people there and when we went to sit at the bar, there were seats available except shopping packages on the seats, one package containing toilet paper to be specific. Anyway, we were told matter-of-factly that those packages were not to be removed as one lady was ""waiting for her take out."" It was made very clear that we were not welcome. Funny, if the shoe were on the other foot . . . .

Mediocre to bad food, Horrible Service

The food is inconsistent; the burgers are good when cooked properly (a 50/50 proposition); the chicken is really dry and the ribs aren't even the best in a 3-block radius... Their in-restaurant service is slow (30 minutes from arrival until served with entrees), their delivery is VERY slow (usually an hour, even for nearby locations, and they often forget items)... Their managers generally act as if they don't care about their customers... Beware their online service (which operates using faxes that are often ignored). This review applies to the 23rd St. and 42nd St. locations.

Texas Style Portions

Eat here and get fat, Texas Style. Its fun to eat here without inhibitions and the greasy big FAT portions make people line up at this joint. Try their margaritas and chicken specials. The Texas honey wings are enormous, probably 12 birds were sacrificed for the size of this plate as its ia meal in itself.
