We are so happy to have found Coco and Toto. Our pup has been going to their daycare for the past year. He loves it, and so do we. He loves it so much, in fact, that every time we leave our apartment he will try to pull in that direction! Ron, Carlos, Andrea and the rest of the staff have created a friendly, safe and fun environment, and our dog especially loves the outdoor area. It has meant total peace of mind for us, during the hours he's in daycare (and this dog is pretty much the center of our lives). We've also used their grooming services, which were great.

My fiance and I took our Havanese puppy, Rocky, here for a grooming as it was convenient. I did not like how I couldn't see in the back room with the dogs.
The groomer did not follow instructions. The hair was just buzzed off of our Rocky. It was clear they never picked up a scissor. My fiance was very upset because Rocky looked like a mutt after the grooming.
I can't speak for the day-care. The place looked clean, but as I said before I couldn't see into the back.

We have been using Coco and Toto since our little Ruby was just a pup. From dog walking to boarding to grooming and doggie day care, our experience with Coco and Toto has been exceptional. We have found them to be incredibly reliable, diligent and easy to work with. We never have to worry if the dog walker's going to show up, if for some reason the schedule changes (which is infrequent) we always get a phone call/email asking if we're comfortable with the change. When we go out of town, they are very flexible often times picking the dog up as well as accommodating our schedules when we need to come get her after our trip. The groomer is great. We've taken Ruby to other groomers but she never comes back looking as adorable as when Coco and Toto groom her. Overall we couldn't be happier with Coco and Toto.

My first time there with my baby..Yorkie Hobby...I was nervous to take Hobby there because Hobby has a problem with his head and neck and can not wear a collar.
i explained to Ron and Alex and they spoke to Katherine who is the groomer and she said she would take extra care. All i can say is that she did a great job with Hobby...I will be differently going back again. Thank you all at Coco and Toto..It was a pleasure dealing with all of you...See you in a few months...

We take our dogs to Coco and Toto all the time. Our younger dog goes every day while we work. We take them both (the young one and our elderly dog) there for grooming and whenever we go out of town. We looked at a handful of other places before we found Coco and Toto. Now we only use them because they are more affordable, and more importantly, they have the best service around--hands down.
Our dogs are kind of like our kids; we wouldn't be comfortable knowing they weren't in safe place, or if it seemed like they didn't like it. Our dogs LOVE going to Coco and Toto (they pull us down the street when they know where we are headed). The dogs have access to a yard, they are constantly supervised, and the facility itself is clean, safe, and has a great atmosphere. Everybody who works there is friendly and accommodating. The groomers always do what we ask (one of our dogs is a poodle, so we usually have really detailed requests).
Finally, the owners have made it so that we can leave our dogs for a weekend without worrying, which is huge for us. We will continue taking our pets there as long as we live in NYC.

I am an over protective dog owner, so for me to find such a wonderful place for my Sabrina is a God-send. Sabrina truly loves to attend daycare and she also loves her caretakers. They call her by name, and she responds in burst of doggie affection. I am thrilled to find a backyard for my little girl to run around in, also. Such freedom!
I have used COCO AND TOTO for boarding two times, and I am thrilled with their service also. They take my little girl home with them each night. I know she feels at home with these wonderful, warm, kind animal lovers!
They administered medication to her properly, also.
I have only praise for all of their good services.

Two and a half years ago I moved to NYC.
I don't know how I could have made it without the help of Coco & Toto. Ron, Carlos, Alex, Marino and the groomers have been so wonderful to me and my nine year old mixed breed pampered pooch. People stop us on the street to ask about her every time she gets groomed. I tell them it's ""The Puppy Cut."" I have referred several friends to Coco & Toto and they all tell me they love this place too! There aren't too many people I trust to watch my baby for the day. I feel so comfortable with Coco & Toto that I've left my dog with them for ten straight days. She pulls me to their door whenever we walk down West 51st Street.

I lived in a building overlooking coco and toto's backyard for a few years until recently. I have went in the store a few times to buy toys/other items for my dog and I can tell you the owners are very nice. With that said, unfortunately I would never take my dog there based on what I have seen. They do not know how to take care of or treat dogs properly. They have an older gentleman who sits out back and chain smokes around the dogs all day. He ignores the dogs until they bark and then he gets out of his seat, chases after them and sprays them with water (or some liquid), sometimes swatting them with a rolled up paper, yelling at them in spanish over and over. Basically, he chases after the dogs all day spraying/swatting them, yelling ""Hey!!!"" ""Coo-mun!!"" ""Callate!"" ""Callate!!!"" (That means shut up in spanish). If you want your dog to get soaked, yelled at over and over in spanish and to inhale a large amount of secondhand smoke then this is the place for you. If you want somewhere that treats animals properly then there are a lot of other decent places in the city you might want to consider first.

Stay away from this sweatshop (literally - they only turn the air conditioning on when it's 90 degrees). We brought our pup to them for a bath and grooming. We wanted her hind quarters and neck area trimmed (it was rather full). They did not trim her at all, and when she came back she shedded up a storm because they didn't brush her. Basically, we paid $50 for them to giver her a bath (the shampoo smells cheap... we use oatmeal only) and trim her nails.
When I called back to ask if they had trimmed her, they started to tell me that she didn't need to be trimmed, which is wrong. They also said that a lot of shedding was to be expected - news to me.
Also, which is more jarring, is that we had specifically told them to be sensitive due to a minor medical condition, and they completely ignored our request! I do NOT recommend going to them. There are so many great places on the westside, don't waste your time here. I'd recommend specific places, but I don't want you to think I'm just working for another place in the area.

My puppy, or I should say dog since he is over 2, has been going to Coco and Toto since we moved to the city about two years ago. He was nine months at the time. He absolutely loves everyone there, people and dogs. He pulls me to the door everytime we are within a block of the entrance. I think that's the best review anyone can provide.
Dog behavior aside, I have used Coco and Toto's daycare, dog walking, boarding and grooming services. All experiences have been wonderful. If I need anything for my puppy, I ask Ron and Carlos first, Coco and Toto's wonderful owners who are always very helpful. Ron and Carlos are very flexible and are always willing to work around my weird work hours. When I had an emergency, they took my puppy in without question, even though it was after store hours. I was able to rest easily knowing that he was in very good hands.
Whenever I pick my puppy up from a day of fun, he always comes home tired and ready to sleep... thank goodness as I seem to have an energizer bunny. After each grooming, everyone in my building comments on how well he looks. I even get rave reviews from his vet.
All in all, I highly recommend Coco and Toto for any kind of dog service you may need. Just talk to Ron and Carlos and you'll realize how much they love and care for their clients, the two legged and the four legged ones.
