Despite great food, we had such an awful customer service experience we will never go back. In spite of us having a reservation, a large table which took up half the restaurant would not get up, so the bartender/manager suggested we wait at the bar and have a drink (that we would pay, of course). We finally decided to eat at the bar, which was kind of uncomfortable. Three of us ordered drinks, 2 appetizers, and 3 salads. The bartender made a face, but took our order. When our table finally became ready some 20 minutes later, the bartender shook her head and said, no, we couldn't have a table because we didn't ""order enough."" Mind you, this was past 9pm and now the restaurant was half empty. She was so nasty, tapping at the menu, that we paid for our drinks and left. Good luck with that attitude - plenty of other options out there

Quaint, cool little restaurant with ok ambience. For the price you pay, i'd have to say, the food was just OK. Think the empanadas were great, fries were great and steak good, but not great. Again, pls understand think the food was good, not great and believe the place is way overpriced. After living in Argentina for over year and in Miami for well over 15 years, this place doesn't come close to what one would expect for money spent here. So if you're looking for good Argentinian food and got $$$ to burn, this is a good place to go if you're looking for a small intimate place to dine. But believe there's got to be better value for your money for Argentinian food somewhere else in the city. Since I just moved here, the search continues.....

Sure, opinions are subjective when it comes to restaurants. I'm sure to the average American clod, this joint would be impressed by this place, but don't for a moment begin to think this is an authentic Argentinean place. NYers are being fooled it is. The food was good, but Argentineans would laugh their arses off at this place. Moral: If you want something different than the usual fare, by all means check it out. But if you want something authentic, then it's just a pretender - like all the others in the city. My biggest gripe? The chimichurri sucked!

Service was superb. Unrushed and attentive. Waitress looked and spoke like PHD student. Meats are great. Deserts are tasty. Prices are very reasonable.
Highly satisfied with food and atmosphere.
There were 4 of us and all had the same good things to say about food and service.
Stumbled upon this place completely by accident. What a great find. I love NY:)

This is by far one of the greatest restaurants in the city. We eat here at least 2 times a month and have never been disappointed. The service is fantastic and the food is authentic and wonderful. The restaurant is charmingly cozy and allows for leisuely dining and unhurried conversation. Friends often join us to find out for themselves what is so great about ""Chimi"" and are always impressed.

I would like to start by saying I am a restaurant owner and have been in the business for 10 years. I have never seen service such as this and the attitude given when questioned. I realized that it wasn't just with the waiter but with management. I am a firm believer in appreciating the customer, this restaurant clearly didn't care about their attitude and knew the service was't their best but said it was acceptable because it was thier restaurant and they could run it how they wanted. Unfortunately for this Grill, they will have to realize that to stay in this business their attitude it going to have to change. I don't care where they are from and how they did it there, this simply won't cut it in NY. There are too many good restaurants in NY to waste your unappreciated time and money at this one.
