Biscuits & Bath

Puppyhood through Old Age – Biscuits & Bath is the place to care for your dogs. When Biscuits & Bath opened on the Upper East Side, I had an older dog. I brought her to B&B for daycare and as she got older, and was no longer able, or interested, in playing, I used their dog walking services. As she became too old to enjoy long walks, the dog walkers would come to walk her, and if she did not want to go out, they would stay in my apartment and cuddle with her. All of the B&B people were very kind and respectful to her. A great comfort, since I could not be at home with her.
Some months after she passed at 16 years old, I adopted a rescue puppy. Before she was able to go out, someone from B&B would come over every day to play with her and clean up after her. As soon as she had all her shots and could socialize, she started going to B&B daycare, and I had her trained there as well. Made it very easy for me to enjoy having a puppy as anyone who has had a puppy knows, they have boundless energy and training can be very exhausting and time consuming. My girl would come home played out and well behaved. About two years later, I adopted a rescue from B&B, and went though the same scenario with her. Really made it easy and fun to have puppies, as B&B took care of the first few months at home, the training and exercising, and daycare/overnights thereafter.
The convenience of vet and grooming services on site, as well as overnight care, rounds out the perfect "one stop shopping" for all of my girls needs. I really appreciate the holistic approach they have to dog care, and they pick up and deliver, so I never have to worry about taking time off from work to get them to and from appointments.
I travel quite a bit and work long hours, and have always had great comfort knowing that my dogs, at every stage of their lives, and whatever their needs might be, have been able to get great care in an environment where they are happy and safe and that is familiar to them 24 hours a day. Everyone that I have come in contact with who has worked at B&B over the many years I have been a customer really seems to love dogs and they always know my dogs by name when I see them out in the street.
This place is truly my dogs home away from home.

I initially brought my pup here for training and was offered a free trial for day care. I work from home so wasn't really in the market for it, but figured hey, free trial.
My pup had SO much fun there with the staff and the other dogs. The staff kept me updated on her ""friendships"" with the other pets, play behavior, etc and were great about working with me on training issues to ensure she had consistency. Their prices are great and when I had a late night emergency they were able to board on short notice and didn't even charge me for the full stay.
My only issue is sometimes I think my dog doesn't want to go home!

She has a monthly package and was there from morning until night and they ""couldn't find her tupperware"" which has the food I bring from home, so, instead of giving me a call or feeding her their food, she didn't eat. At all. Obviously the logical, humane choice. When I asked the manager whom I was told was in charge, she chalked it up to a ""misunderstanding"" and hung up on me because she didn't appreciate my ""angry tone"" Hmh... what would it say about me as a dog owner if I were pleasant? Not to mention she was put in a 20 minute ""time out"" for mounting a dog (mind you she's a puppy and 20 minutes goes against everything her trainer and I have taught her.) The ""customer care"" team are great pacifiers and say all the right things (i.e. I'm sorry, this should never have happened) but I have yet to see changes or results. I'm obviously a busy person or my dog wouldn't be in daycare (not that she is EVER going back there) but, for the well-being of all dogs (keep in mind these are only the incidents I am aware of- who knows what else might be going on) when i am free I will address this inhumane treatment. In the mean time, I know it's expensive (hey, it got me!) spend a few extra dollars and look around. Biscuits in Bath is the WalMart of doggy daycare.

We have taken our puppy to Biscuits and Bath for one month now on their puppy promotion. At first we were unsure if daycare was right for our puppy, but all of our doubts were gone once we saw how happy he was there. As soon as we walk in the staff greet him by his first name and he is clearly excited to be there. No sooner do I give the leash over, he pulls them over to the door leading to the play room to be able to join all the other dogs.
The facility is kept extremely clean and the staff seems very attentive to the all the dogs. We even received a video from Biscuits and Bath where they filmed our puppy playing with another dog.
The cost of the daycare is expensive, but they are more than willing to talk with you about the different packages they offer and find something that you can work with. I was on the phone for over an hour going over various options and ways to save money on the packages. It was really nice that they were willing to spend that kind of time with me to make sure that I was happy and that we were getting the right package for our budget. It is still expensive, but worth the money. Some of the less expensive days care places that we looked into put your dog in a small back room with no vet supervision and limited staff--it is not worth saving the extra money.
We are very happy with Biscuits and Bath, it gives our pup the freedom to play and socialize as well as provides us with peace of mind that while we are at work or away for the day, our dog is being looked after and is well taken care of.

The people at the UES Biscuits & Bath really love dogs and it shows. Whether our dog goes there for day care or to board, they go out of their way to make him feel welcome and to make us feel comfortable. When we're away, they call us, daily, to tell us how our dog is doing, and if he's not eating well they go out of their way to try to get him to eat; including buying him chicken or ice cream. Before we selected Biscuits & Bath we checked out all of the other doggie day care facilities on the UES and none compared. B&B has lots of room, they keep the place really clean, and they take great care of the dogs.

I do not believe for a minute any of these positive responses, I think every time a real review is made they have a friend or relative write a good review. My dog was brought in and received a big gash on her face, she also got whooping cough that we later found out they knew existing at the upper eastside location but did not inform us.
My wife refused to pay. That was in 2005. My bank called 3 weeks ago to tell me there was a freeze on $500.00 on my account. I found out it was because Biscuits and bath had a judgement against me. I called and was told they would get back to me. I did not hear back so i called Greg the controller, he said he would call me right back. That was a week ago. This morning my Car was towed by the Marshall due to this judgement of $500.00, seems a lot for a bath and a days stay but thats besides the point. I will now tell as many peopler as I possibly can about how Bad Biscuits and bath is. That will back this all worth while.

I've been taking my 2 year old Golden Retriever there since he was 8 weeks old. Everyone has always been great and always try to be accommodating. Cooper has stayed many nights there and days there and I always feel very safe Leaving him there. He seems to love everyone who works there and is always excited to see the staff. I would not have been able to have Cooper with out B and B.

Zuley did an amazing job on my shi-poo! We had brought her to a number of different groomers beforehand and no one really listened to how we wanted her cut. She always came back too long! Zuley was great with Chloe and when we picked first picked her up we thought: Finally!! we found our groomer - someone who actually listened to how we wanted her cut. Chloe loves her and she gets a great cut every time!

Biscuits and Bath (B&B) - Upper East Side Location -has been taking care of our dog, Augustus, for nearly 4 years. Augustus has enjoyed daycare, fun walks (both group and private), sleepovers, groomings, dog training, and vet services.
Basically Augustus is the poster dog for B&B, and he loves every moment of being there.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, even when they are off duty (i.e. walking home after a shift is completed, etc). There are times when I am walking him, we pass by a member of the team, and they know his name, and how to interact with him (Augustus is overly friendly and a bit energetic).
We 100% trust B&B to take care of Augustus while we are out of town. On some of these occasions Augustus sleeps over at the UES location, while other times B&B picks him up in the morning, he plays all day, and they drop him off in our apartment at night. They always ensure that he has fresh water, is fed, etc. They even check on the cat when they drop Augustus off.
B&B has always been extremely accommodating of our needs. There have been instances where we have been unable to get home after a day out of the city, and at the last minute B&B had a member of the team run over to our apartment to walk him.
A few times Augustus has had an incident on site (i.e. plays too rough with the other dogs, etc); B&B properly handled it, notified us, and even provided a complimentary train and play service. We noticed an immediate change in his behavior (for the positive).
Additionally a few times the B&B staff noticed that Augustus was not his ""usual self"". They had the Vet provide an on-site check-up, and properly diagnosed why he wasn't feeling well. It is reassuring to know that he is always in good hands with B&B.
The Main Office has also been a delight to work with. A few years ago, while I was out of work, they provided me assistance to ensure that Augustus got the care that he needed, while I was out interviewing, etc. David Maher been especially wonderful to work with. David always ensures that both our experience and Augustus's is top notch. We always know that we are in good hands with both David, and the rest of the B&B staff.
I have referred several dogs and their owners over the years, and will continue to do so! As you can tell, I am a big fan of Biscuits and Bath, and will continue to be!

This past tuesday, the 19th, i was leaving my house on 89th street and 3rd ave and saw a girl leaving a building with a beautiful golden retriever. as soon as she stepped outside with him, (i asked his name, Coopper, if im not mistaken, she looked fairly young, light skin, black hair) she started rubbing him and he jumped on her and licked her. she started laughing and he licked some more. it truely was a beautiful sight to see. i asked her name, but i have forgotten. This company should definitely have people like her outside because she looked genuinely happy. if i had a dog, i would bring them there knowing that my dog would get the love and affection that this lovely lady was giving Coopper.

I LOVE sending my 6 month old puppy to the Upper East Side biscuits and bath. The staff there has been incredible, thoughtful, and so caring to my little pup. They keep me posted daily on how she is doing, I check the website for pictures, and they update me on how much food she eats each day. It is a little expensive, but I found that most dog day care centers are priced the same, but it is completely worth it. My puppy pretty much runs there every morning.
The staff has been terrific and I don't know how to thank them enough.

Left our dog there for a weekend with ample food, specially prepared because of an allergy. Got a call asking why we hadn't brought food, and I indicated that we certainly had. After being put on hold, B&B personnel responded with an awkward ""oh yeah..."" and said everything was okay. When we picked our pooch up, she was smelly, shaking and had horrible diarrhea, the product of B&B's incompetence and inattention to detail.
What's more, we were a few minutes past the deadline to pick her up, and, to add insult to quite literal injury, B&B had the temerity to charge us for another day.
I awarded B&B a star only because 'zero' isn't an option. Avoid this place at all costs.

I decided to take my puppy, Trey, to B& B in early October after my best friend Rachel raved about the puppy promotion program. I adopted him in July and it was the first time in months that I had peace of mind because I knew he was under good care. Trey would come home not only exhausted but happy! He was excited to go to daycare and I enjoyed the love and praise he received every time I dropped him off. The staff is extremely caring and trustworthy! I definitely recommend Biscuts and Bath!

I take my puppy Bailey to Biscuits and Bath on the Upper East Side. My dog starts running as soon as we turn the corner on First Ave and doesn't even turn around to look at me leave when I go. He has also vastly improved her socialization skill around other dogs. Bailey is crazy about everyone at Biscuits and Bath, and I get the impression the staff shares the same fondness for him. Summer, the Assistant Manager, has made my first experience with doggy day care especially easy. Training with Alyssa has been a going extremely well. She is really great at communicating with me about what Bailey is thinking, feeling, and teaching me how to train him. Even had him groomed there. My puppy's cut was phenomenal. Just the right length, his legs were still fluffy and not cut too close, and he looked like had layers rather than a straight even cut all over. He looked great and I was impressed.
The service is incredible, and the personalized attention is the sort of top-notch business practice you rarely see anymore. You can't find a better doggy day-care. What I get is complete peace of mind that my little guy is one of the happiest dogs in the world.

We've been going to B&B for 3 years. The walkers are great. They are responsible, kind to the dogs, and actually take them for the time they are suppose to be walking them. My dog loves to go and drags me into the UES location. The workers inside the run with the dogs are kind to the dogs - pet them and hug them. They also are right on the dogs if there is aggressive behavior. We've had some overbilling and/or billing issues at times but they have always been wonderful about working with us and fixing and descrepancies. My dog has stayed over on numberous ocassions and always comes home in great shape and exhausted from play. We have the 3 day walk and 2 day play package. They are always willing to change up the schedule when my schedule varies and will even take her home in a moments notice if I get stuck at work. I think this is a very professional and good facility. I highly recommend it. They are dependable and really do care about dogs. I always feel secure that my dog is in good hands whether it is for a walk, a day of play, or overnights.

First off, the training is phenomenal. My crazed wheaten has grown from an insane adorable pup to a self-controlled young dog due primarily to David Muriello's personal training sessions.
Next, the grooming is excellent. Edith looked at the pics I brought and listened to my desired alterations, did a great cut and even fixed the bits I wanted changed the next day. People complement me on his cute cut every day.
And finally, he looooves going to B&B for boarding. Whenever we walk by the UES shop, he gets so excited and starts to head for the door! My dog never liked the crate, so the cage-free aspect is very important. Plus, he has a blast there.
In short, they make both me and my dog happy. It's worth every cent.
Our love for Biscuits began 4 months ago when my then 8 month old rescue pit bull mix, Archie and I were in desperate need. After only having him for 2 separation anxiety filled days, myself and my neighbors were at the end of our rope. I made a desperate phone call to Biscuits after a referral from a friend one early morning before work. The customer care rep was extremely welcoming and helpful and set up day care for him on the spot. A saviour! Less than an hour later we trotted down to Biscuits, so thankful to finally have a solution to his incessant barking & crying. As soon as I walked in, the manager, John already knew exactly who we were. He gave me a huge hug and more importantly, such peace of mind that Archie was in the right spot. And was he! John immediately took me on a tour of the gym including the back where the dogs rest on their ‘down time’ and gave me a full explanation of what Archie would expect during his day. He gave me such reassurance as a first time dog mom that Archie was going to be safe and taken care of. Everything was clean, organized and filled with bustling employees keeping watchful eyes on the dogs. The managers and trainers have given me such great advice from feeding to destructive chewing to dog psychology. My biggest hurdle with Archie was his separation anxiety issues. After being in a daily routine where he was socialized, playing with other dogs and humans, he calmed. After only a couple of weeks I was able to leave my apartment without any barking issues from Archie. It also helped that he was so tired every night, he would fall dead asleep directly after dinner.
I also enrolled Archie in Basic Manners & Obedience training class and was very happy with the outcome. I found that Archie really loved learning and was quite the athlete. So much so, I also set him up for an agility class while he was being boarded, which he LOVED! They even made a video for me to watch.
Having a veterinarian on staff is also such a blessing. There have been a couple of occasions where Archie’s ‘spirit has gotten the better of him’, as manager Sean so eloquently put it, and he was the recipient of some puncture wounds. As a rambunctious pup, he sometimes has trouble understanding how annoying he can be, especially to older dogs. Archie never skipped a beat, but the staff’s reaction was always swift with phone calls to every one of my contact lines with a full report. Better yet, the vet fee would only by $50-$60 and I would go home with a full course of antibiotics and instructions. At any vet office that would be at LEAST double.
The dog walkers are also very conscientious. I get daily notes as to what happened on Archie’s walk. They also help to try to scoop up whatever destruction Archie might have done to shoes or mail or whatever was on the counter while he was alone. And the best part is, the p.m. walker always leave the end table light on for Archie so he doesn’t have to be home alone in the dark.
He is now such a healthy, happy dog and I have Biscuits & Bath to help thank for that! I really believe there is a mutual affection between Archie and the staff. I look forward to coming in and seeing the energetic and caring staff, who I consider to be friends. As a trained professional with a pre-vet degree, I know that he is in great care. It is truly his home away from home! One of the best decisions I ever made!
I cannot say enough great things about Biscuits and Bath – specifically the UES location. I have a large, hyper, male, boxer- puppy that started going to Biscuits and Bath around the age of 6 months. I feel incredibly comfortable with the staff, which has really helped me as a first time dog owner. They offer helpful training tips/classes, daycare, walks, grooming, veterinary service/advice (helpful when you have a clumsy pup), adoption service/placement, playgroups, pick up/drop off services, agility training, advice on the best dog runs/parks and so much more. They truly are helpful, caring, knowledgeable and most importantly HUGE DOG LOVERS. I run into walkers and handlers all over the neighborhood and not only does my dog excitedly spot them from a mile away, but they also recognize him by name/face in an instant. I know that at Biscuits and Bath my dog is not one of a million, but is truly cared for and considered special. He is so excited to get to Biscuits every morning, he starts pulling as soon as we get on the block and does this happy, little, wiggle dance for the front desk staff/managers as soon as he gets inside. They post pictures daily on their website which is so wonderful - I love being able to see him interacting with other dogs and the handlers.
As a young professional, the cost of this fabulous service can be quite strain…but there is no question in my mind that it is 100% worth it. When I get home and my pup is not bouncing off the walls but is ready to relax, I know that he has been properly exercised and well taken care of. At the end of the day, I know that my dog is getting the best care the city has to offer.
